Ordered the white thread to accent my leatherwork but it is too waxy...or something. It flakes off and leaves residue as I'm sewing it through. And when I pull it tight, it almost looks translucent as to take on a little bit of whatever color it is on. I was hoping to use this on a royal blue watch strap, but as I sew it on, it seems to be slightly see-through and doesn't stay a straight white.

I ran out of grey thread for leathercrafting so I found this very inexpensive spool. It's a lot of thread, but it isn't a continuous spool. It works great for me since I mostly make small leather goods. When I ran into the thread ending, near the beginning of the spool, it worked out because it was the perfect length I needed. I only made 2 wallets with this thread and reached an end piece (I still have a ton of thread on the spool). The issue of it not being a continuous spool is fine with me, I just wanted people to be aware of that when choosing what thread to buy in case they care. It isn't overly waxy like some of the other similar cheap threads. It has a good amount of wax and won't build up as you stitch your leather. I would buy this again.

It is thinner than I thought but that is my fault. I just doubled it up. Great color.

Color as pictured, sturdiness and quality were good, great for hand sewing leather projects.

This waxed threading worked really well for one of my book binding projects. There is a good amount of wax on the thread that really helped with the binding. The color did not rub off either which is a real plus.

Leather thread should have more wax then this.
