Extremely low quality materials. The screw came stripped and was unusable. Threw it away. Will never buy rovner again.

This is now my preferred ligature because of variable sound output.

I decided to treat myself to a premium alto sax ligature and friends recommended Rovner. I chose the higher-end Versa-x. First, the quality of the product seems very high. But, unfortunately, I’m finding it very hard to use. Two main reasons: it’s bulky and hard to manage/manipulate getting the reed in place (I need it quick and easy!); and the rails, which seem like a cool innovation, slip sideways so I can’t keep them centered on the reed (see pic). I’m going to try another, simpler Rovner ligature. Thanks.

This Rovner lig X-1RL is, think the best out there in terms of allowing the reed to vibrate freely. It also seems to give you extra power to the mouthpiece if you push a lot of air through it. Buying this through Amazon I was able to get it at a lesser price, which is always good. John🎶🎷
