DampRidMoisture Absorber with Activated Charcoal, 18oz (3 Pack)

I read other reviewers mention that their containers arrived with the bottom cracked, so I checked each one of mine thoroughly. I always put any DampRid products I use on or in a small plastic container on a lid anyway, mostly in case I bump them, which I have and made a mess.I decided to try these because of the charcoal filtering. The DampRid products that turn into liquid were drying the air, but our family room, really the basement of our raised ranch, still smelled musty. We have a dehumidifier set at 45% running 24x7 but it just can't get rid of all of the moisture in the Family room or the musty odor.Since I've had 3 of these in use the smell has gone away.

Ok people please relax they may come broken as in the material thats held on the top portion may be on the bottom or without a white film on the top. They will still remove moisture and heres all you need to do. The white material like film is only there to keep the desiccant and carbon inside incase it tips over. So I received mine again( have ordered them many times) and yes the plastic tray that is inside that holds the bead desiccant was not where it should be. Inside is a plastic tray and it is just press fit inside. With enough jarring or bouncing the material will cause the tray to become dislodged. No big deal. Remove the material film from three sides on top, pour out the material inside and relocate the plastic tray. Now put the desiccant beads back into the top tray gently. Now just put the material cover back over and if you really want tape the corner or hot glue it back on. Now should you have to do this? No. But you can if you dont want the hassle of returning them. As long as the desiccant is dry when you receive them they will work.

These are great! For years, I’ve been quietly changing these in and out in my parents’ basement to keep it smelling decent. (These are things we do as parents age!) After their basement flooded this summer, that horrible musty smell took over. I had them put two of these down there and the difference was incredible. I think they believe me now that these work!

So this product is awesome in removing bad odors. I got it originally for the car and the garage.We had a bad smell in the car even after cleaning it. So after making some search, I found this Damprid with brilliant reviews. The bad odor was gone by 60% just after placing it overnight. It is amazing! After 1 week this smell was gone completely.I put two in the garage as it is pretty big. Also, There was a weird odor there that I could not figure out a reason for. Damprid after 10 days took away this bad odor.The instructions say that you can use it until the beads disdolve which is usually after 4 weeks. But mine after one month is still intact.Now I cannot smell anything neither in the car nor the garage. As a matter of fact, it does not mask the odor; nevertheless, it absorbs and takes it away.The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 is that it did not work very well with moisture of bathroom. Or may be I should have left for longer time but I kept it for two without any noticeable change.All in all, I am satisfied because it meets my purpose of it. Recommend it.

If you have damp areas such as under your kitchen sink, GET THIS PRODUCT! It absorbs all of the moisture AND the odor! I bought several and put one in my closet, but BEWARE! DO NOT put it in any closet where you have LEATHER coats or shoes! It sucks the moisture out of the leather. Thankfully I caught mine in time...

I placed these in my extremely humid bedroom (2) and bathroom(1). I monitor the humidity and there was no difference for several weeks. No moisture condensed into the lower receptacle. I'm not sure if the charcoal actually helped with odors caused by cat litter because I gave up in desperation and increased the number of Air Wick scented oil warmers I use in each room. Finally, I tore off 1/3 of the paper on the top and then they started working like they were supposed to. I also placed several of DampRid Dehumidifier Odorless around the bedroom. They worked faster. Overall, I'm pleased.

I have always liked this product but my main problem with getting it on Amazon is about a third of the time or more I the product would come broken with the small crystals spilling inside the bottom.In the most recent three pack that I got on August 16, 2018, this has changed and the crystals in the package are now very small balls that are apparently less prone to spilling out, because none spilled out in the order that I just received.Otherwise, I can see that the crystals are the exact same product but somehow they have been transformed into small spheres and so far this has resulted in greater shipping success for me.If I order this item again and it comes broken, I'll update the review.

This product did not work for me I bought it about four weeks ago put one in my refrigerator and one under my sink next to my dishwasher both are places that I’ve used these types of products before with success. However I was really disappointed that there was no liquid or change to the container of this product in the picture I included the one on the left is one that I’ve used for a ~month the other is sealed; it’s difficult to see but there was no change. I’ve used the damp rid hanging products and those captured water within one day. I’ve also used similar products to this that look just like this just a different brand and they collected a lot of water in the reservoir within days .
