We bought the magnetic locks that have to be screwed into place in order to secure our cabinet doors. That was enough until our toddler son got tall enough to reach inside the drawers. We were almost out of the screw in type so I decided to get these. They are installed using 3m adhesive strips. I thought that would be so much easier than trying to drill holes in the edges of the drawer frames. There is actually nothing on this packaging that says these can be used on drawers but thought I would try it anyway. They installed in a couple minutes. I can still open the drawer about 1/2 and inch or so. I couldn't back the latch up any farther because the wood frame of the drawer is a pretty narrow strip of wood. They also have the tab that you can flip so it remains unlocked if you don't want it locked. So far, so good. He hasn't managed to open any of the drawers so far. I'll update this if that changes. He is getting stronger and taller. But so far I am quite happy.

Great concept, but these did not work at all, and now I don't think I can return them because I have already use the 3M stickies. It took about 1 second for my 15 month old to pull open the cabinets. I waited ample time for the adhesive to dry, and still he was able to open them. Is it possible to return this at this point?

I order this product after many research. I install it in my bathroom cabinets and it work as it suppose to work. Con: It was kinda hard trying to determine if its leavel with the two pieces so it can lock and open. In some cases it wasn't leavel rigth and I had to take it off and try again also the rest off the kit I didn't use I try to install in my dresser and it didn't want to fit or work . I guess the cabinet is differently made or whatever the case is but I try for up to 45 min and it just didn't want to fit or work or hold.at the end the one I was using stop sticking I guess of so much trying and now its use less. Its a good product but not for all cabinets .

they do not stick very well to my cabinets, and once ripped off the stickness is completely gone. One didnt even work so out of 8 I have 5 to work with. At this price I needed all 8 cabinets.

I love that you get two magnets with this so when you lose one you have a spare. You can't just use fridge magnets to open the locks, they are not strong enough. It was super easy to install (even with 9mo crawling all over trying to stop me). I would have given 5 stars except when you drop there magnet it sometimes falls apart, and it is a pain to get it back together the right was. Next timer it falls apart I am going to crazy glue it back together, then it will bet perfect.

With my first child I only locked the chemical cupboards, because it didn't really bother me if he pulled out the pots & pans to play with. Then I had twins & I couldn't keep up with everything they were pulling out! We also had our kitchen remodeled so I didn't really want to drill holes in the new cupboard doors to install locks. These locks are perfect!!! You can't see them after installation & they stick with a double sided foam sticker. I installed them several months ago & they're still holding strong. I also really like that you can disengage the locks without uninstalling them.

Not as simple as it states. Have to try several times to get it to work and it rarely does

They're serving their purpose, but i'm disappointed that there's pretty much no opportunity to adjust these once they're on there. These also wont work for drawers at all. All in all, I managed to install 4/8 of these successfully.Great deal for the price in comparison to munchkin or safety 1st, which will give you half the product for 150% of the price. Good value.
