This review covers ALL of the music books in this piano solo jazz series that I've purchased....I think 10 titles so far.Here's the deal ... I have played piano for 58 years (since I was 5) ... and I am an extremely proficient sight reader of music.The flip side is...even after so many years...I cannot play by ear, or improvise at all. Not the least bit. And I've always said:If only some arranger could write down improvisational riffs, and jazz chords, and other clever things, I could play it by reading it.Guess what, folks? These books do that....brilliantly, I might add. These books have given me a new lease on my piano playing life.I'm at the keyboard all the time now. LOVE these books!

Lovely chords and fantastic arrangements of well-known tunes.

Great pieces, and as usual, very beautifully arranged and playable for an intermediate pianist such as myself. WOULD LOVE FOR THIS PUBLISHER TO PRODUCE TAPES ALONG WITH THE BOOKS.

A bit predictable, but I’m more into Bill Evans stuff. Not very difficult but pleasant, would have liked more challenging arrangements and sophisticated harmonies.

Music and arrangements are very good. The book, however doesn't format correctly in Kindle. Song titles don't come through, and the music portion of the page is minimized to the point where you really can't read some of them.

Lovely selection of pieces, good arrangements, grade 5 - 7 standard approx.Would be helpful to have some fingering notated in places but I can work that out.One downside, it duplicates a couple of pieces that are in their other books in this range that I own. Would have been nice to have been all new pieces.

Love the chord arrangements in the the pieces I have tried so far...At Last, and Bring in the Clowns. I play by ear, but as I am learning Jazz with the help of this music ,and my instructor, the enrichment to what I play has improved 100%

Whether you are playing for a few friends or simply for your own pleasure, this series, "Jazz Piano Solos" series is an absolute joy to sight read or learn as a leisurely performance piece. So far I have enjoyed every volume from this series.
