If You Love It, It Will Grow: A Guide To Healthy, Beautiful Natural Hair

Just finished reading ‘If you love it, it will grow’ and although it has a lot of information that you may already know it is a great refresher on loving and caring for you hair. It is a great read and I was a little sad when I got to the end. That said chapter 18 has lots of quotes about loving hair ( and yourself) despite the criticism and judgment of others. I read it in one day. Really great book with lots of tips on maintaining and growing healthy afro hair. Some books can be boring when explaining the science of hair but these parts were informative, well delivered with some humour. The book covers Dr Phoenyx's own hair story, hair basics, hair damage, lifestyle tips for healthy hair, hair products, seasonal hair tips, trimming, colouring and nutrition which doesn't just say drink lots of water and a balanced diet.

I Love this book! It has really helped me to better understand how to look after my hair, using only natural products/ingredients. It also helped me to form a hair regime suitable for my lifestyle and my hair type!I would say it is worth reading it with a highlighter (or two!) as there is a lot of information and it makes it easier to look back and pick out the information you need.Would reccomend - this is my hair 'bible'!

Learnt so much about afro hair care from this book that I will be doing and sharing with friends and family
