The Ultimate Catholic Quiz: 100 Questions Most Catholics Can't Answer

A great "fun night out with Catholic friends" book
I pulled this book out after our dinner at our home with 6 Catholic friends. Most are cradle Catholics and our Deacon was the convert to the faith. This was a good way to see if we truly understood what our faith teaches and what it is all about. The book has a "grading" scale in the back.... very funny to read. The book states that MOST Catholics cannot answer all the questions.... for obvious reasons of the poor catechesis we all experiences in the 1960s. It is never too late to come to know and understand the faith as this will result in growing in the faith. This book is a fun "springboard" to want to start to learn or grow.

Hey Catholic, did you know that?
It's very interesting reading; some surprising, some "facts" unbelievable. As a Catholic, it open my mind more with all the"facts" they show in the book. Gave it 4 stars because many times over, when I missed the answer, some explanations on the right answer were vague--reminded me of high school multiple choice questions. But all in all, very good reading.

Fun Quiz
The book is fun to work through. A multiple choice question is given on the front side of a page and the correct answer with explanations of why each choice is right or wrong on the back side. It covers not just faith and morals questions, but history and patron saints. Even if one knows the right answer, something can be learned about the wrong ones. One quibble on question 54; unless I am misreading the choices, I think there are two right answers and his explanation why one of those answers is wrong is, well, wrong.

Love this! Great for competitive couples!
My husband and I used this to see who knew more.It is multiple choice so that helps and it explains why the answer is the correct answer. Also at the end is a grading scale so that’s fun.For the most knowledgeable Catholic this might be easy but as a convert I learned a lot.

A good test - sometimes obtuse!
Good. some esoteric questions, but fun overall.

Atrocious formatting
Pages are out of order and sometimes repeated. It appears as though some pages might be missing. Correct answers have been sometimes highlighted, so no thinking involved in deciding the correct answer.Truly a poor recreation of the book itself. Unfortunate too, asI had hoped to use it with adult formation.

A good review of our faith
A good review of our faith. Questions a lot of us don't know. Very helpful for our effort in apologetics.

We can never stop learning about our wonderful Catholic faith
We can never stop learning about our wonderful Catholic faith. Sometimes we tend to think we know much about our faith, or are familiar with certain terms. This book makes you stop and really reflect on the question as each answer must be "completely positive". I did fairly well on the quiz but will go back again to see if I can eventually strive for 100%

Fun and interesting - but not all answers are hard facts, but interpretations or opinions.
A good and fun quiz. A lot of important topics and the very short and black/white answers could put a lot of people off, though, because many of them aren't sufficiently explained. A truth about hell, for example, is a truth whether you state it concisely or at length - but the 'harshness' of short answers has a tendency to get misinterpreted - and that is doing a fateful disservice to God and to his Church. This comment really goes for a lot of Christian/Catholic discourse out there. Also, not all answers are "THE FACTS", but are the author's interpretation or opinion. As long as one is aware of that, the quiz is fun and can also teach on topics not personally explored before.
