Small-ish in sizing
These are ⅓ smaller than the horsehair brushes my parents had….but they are brushes. Will let you know in 20 years if they held up like my parents brushes have…

My husband is comparing to his old shoe shine brush that is over 40 years old, it has already been thrown out. Guess the new one is going to have to do the job, I'm sure it will. Thanks.

Shoe Care Extraodinaire
A horsehair brush is essential addition to a personal shoe shine armamentorium. This brush fits well in hand and the construction is sturdy allowing vigorous buffing without loss of bristles. It functions exactly how I expected and to date I have no issues with the results.

Horsehairs fall out, possible non-Collonil product
The brush I received from the amazon reseller "shoecare" does not have the Collonil logo stamped on it. It only has "Made in Germany" stamped on it. In that way, the Amazon photo at the time of my purchase did not match the actual product I received.On first use, about 50 horsehairs fell out.It appears that the US distributor for Collonil may be distributing non-Collonil products. Or, perhaps Collonil brushes have fallen in quality.
