F Dick 8544721 Pro-Dynamic Chef's Knife 8" blade high carbon steel

This is a very well built and executed chef knife made in Germany. It has a substantial heavy blade and comfortable handle. Well worth the price it is selling for here on Amazon. In the budget category you can't do much better that this knife from one of the great cutlery companies in Germany.

Very high quality reasonably priced way to spare my higher priced chef knives from daily chores. Great steel, excellent grind, very intuitive in use. I have several other knives from this line and recommend them without reservation.

Not as good as their offset knife, which I swear by. Go with Mercer instead.

Not sharp , had to spend an hour sharpening it on arrival

Awesome blade! If it keeps (and takes) its edge--what a knife! This was recommended to us by a meat-cutter in one of our local supermarkets. He was using one to cut meats --- with great ease---- and told us this was "his" knife. Good advice!
