Good value for the money
I'm not a lumberjack but I'm OK.. I bought two of these for dragging log sections and picking up cut pieces after bucking them. They've been working great and are particularly nice when moving old rotting logs as the points are sharp enough to dig deep into the nasty outer layers and still get a grip. With the pair it's possible to grab two sections that would otherwise be difficult to carry and picking up larger pieces without having to cradle them in your arms getting dirt and sawdust all over you. I don't know about the durability of the steel, but they'll handle anything I'm capable of carrying.. I would buy them again if they ever do fail. They've already saved me enough time and effort to be worth what I paid for them.

Excellent choice.
Confident grip in wood with a pair to move 10 to 14 inch pecan and maple rounds. Handle secure. Worked like a champ. Three days, heavy use, still look new.

Handiest tool for handling logs
This is the thing I use most other than the chain saw when blocking logs. I have a pickaroon and a log hook/roller also, but almost never use them now. It is a very simple inexpensive handle for grabbing and moving logs. Cheap price, and cheaply made, but works fine. Holds well on logs from about 4 inch diameter up to about a foot. I did put locktite on the bolts so the nuts would not loosen with use. Simple little tool that works great and saves my arthritic hands.

Got It For All The Wrong Reasons
I can't begin to tell you what a fantastic piece of business this has worked out to be. I think about that every time I use it, which seems to be almost daily. And so simple. Stores out of the way, very unobtrusive - almost invisible, when I'm not using it. And to think of the problems it solves. I became very ill, and had to have heavy juices, packed in heavy, awkward boxes, shipped to me on a regular basis. My strength was so diminished, I simply could not maneuver them into the house, and especially in bad weather. I don't have an indoor fireplace, and I'm not a lumberjack: I am an old man who became ill, and didn't have the strength to pick up heavy packages from Amazon on my front porch - especially in bad weather - so I got this to clamp onto a big heavy box, so that I could drag it into the house, and sort it out in a warm environment, out of the weather. I tried it out on a suitably-sized box, and it worked fine, although I have, so far, not actually needed it to haul in anything - but then, I haven't ordered anything like a case of fruit drinks lately, which are a bear to handle. In fact, I had forgotten I even ordered this, and was just about to order it again, because I've been buying cases of protein shakes, and needed to bring one of them into the house. Just by chance, I discovered that I had ordered it some months before, and therefore already had it on hand, and would need it, or something like it, to haul in the boxes. I say something like it, because so far, I hadn't found anything that was really the answer to the problem. I had bought several "grabbers," but none of them came anywhere close to being able to grab onto the box, and lift it up, and swing it into the house. ***** I have just now had occasion to finally use this, and it worked out even better than I had hoped. If you struggle to try to wrestle a heavy box of fruit drinks or protein shakes into the house from off the front porch, you know that you need some kind of help. Especially when they combine two cases in the same box, which they have been known to do. That box is as heavy as lead. I had looked in vain for a grabber with wide enough jaws to grip such a big, heavy box, but couldn't find anything. One that I did buy wasn't quite wide enough. Even as wide as it opened up to, it wouldn't firmly grip the box, so that it could hold the box well enough to get it into the house. For all practical purposes, it was useless. Then today I had the same scenario: A big, heavy box of individual juice drinks, and I was momentarily stymied. But then I remembered this, and thought that this would be the acid test as to whether it actually worked for the purpose I bought it. Well, it couldn't possibly have worked out any better. It absolutely grips that box, just like I had hoped it would, and I had total control, to drag the box into the house, and lift it over the threshold, and set it down exactly where I wanted it in the living room. It's not enough just to get it into the house. You still have to wrestle the box around to get it into position to open it, and extract the goodies inside. Actually, what you have is a box within a box. The outer box is taped, and cutting on the seams is what you need to do. The inner box, which they virtually build around the product, is a little more difficult. Plus, with the strong glue they use, it doesn't just rip apart all that easily: You have to use a sharp knife to separate the seams, so that you can open the box. With this handy-dandy log clamp, I could maneuver the box around to just where I wanted it. The perfect solution, which had eluded me for a very long time, but now I am equipped to handle anything, even in my weakened state. There's an ideal tool for everything, but you just have to look long and hard until you find it. And, it won't necessarily be what the tool was originally designed for, but you have to use some creative thinking. Like the joke goes - when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!

Simplifies grabbing logs for splitting
Well built. I have a lot of logs to split from 6 to 20 inches in diameter, so pulling logs off the pile can be awkward. This lets me grab them with one hand and use the other to steady myself while I pull. Others have mentioned that it comes "loose"--it comes with one of the connections undone so it collapses down a bit smaller. The reason it's "loose" is so it can be operated one handed if needed--you may want it to close without having to 'push' it closed. If you want to tighten it up, tightening the bolts is easy enough. So you can customize the fit however you want. The orange color is great and makes it easy to keep track of it when there is a lot of sawdust around. It is sturdy, but not overbuilt. If it were any larger, it would be hard to control with one hand. But as a way to grip heavy logs easily, it has been great.

Well made, a back saver
How did I lift logs prior to this, oh with my back. I have 2 of these. I use 1 when moving rounds after cutting up a tree and use both with another person to move very heavy rounds or logs. So much easier than bending over. Grip is great and with a little jerk the log is released. I would definitely purchase again.

Works great but be careful
This is a really nice tool, but there are a few things to know before you buy. This is not a toy and you should be careful even when unboxing. The tongs are very sharp and can puncture you if your not careful. I suggest tightening all bolts because they are a little too loose, a little to floppy. Tightening will make this safer. Unless you have a good grip on the log your moving, it could slip off. If youโre not careful, you could hurt yourself. That said, this was great to move logs and branches that fell around the house. I recommend for this type of work. No safety bag, instructions or warnings. If you have half a brain, this is a great tool for cleanup work around the house. If youโre not mechanically inclined, hire a professional tree service.

So, i had one of these and lost it in our woods. I ordered this one and it came next day. Works as it should. I use it in the woods to help move around the logs i take for fire wood. Back at the house i use em to pick up the pieces to carry them to the log splitter. It's way easier on my back not having to bend over all the time and if i can't grab the piece end to end, i know it's too long for my wood stove. Highly reccomend one of these if you process much fire wood. I also found the old one back lol. Laying in some leaves, i literally stepped right on it so know i have two. Now i can carry two pieces to the log splitter at a time. Sweet.

muy delgado por lo que se pago por el producto

Works ok, does what itโs supposed to. Although a bit sloppy and a bit on the cheaper side. Functionally no complaints, it fulfills its purpose. Iโd recommend for anyone who is looking for a personal use tool, not sure if it would stand up to heavy or commercial use.
