I would have to modify this to lift the kayak onto its wall rack. Not enough space between the garage doors and the wall to mount permanently.

So, I ordered this product in advance of having the kayak at the location I was going to store it at. Silly me, I didn’t open it. When it came to the instillation date I realized the lifting straps were missing. I called the company (spoke to Heather). Because it was pasted the return date Heather informed me that I needed to send a screenshot of the order stating it was purchased “condition new”. Amazon does not include this information on the receipt so I called and got a letter from Amazon stating that the purchase condition was “new”. Not good enough for this company. It had to state it on the receipt. I CAN NOT recommend. The lift itself is okay (not great). Kind of cheaply made.

This is a wonderful product, well designed and excellent quality hardware and lines. Instructions easy to follow. I mounted a pair of the Harken Hoisters (2 point lift model #7807) side by side in the rafters of garage to hoist two 12 ft kayaks above the car to assist in loading onto the roof rack. We have used for over 12 months for a 5.5 metre kayak. Perfect safe solution. Highly recommended.We needed to fix timber to the ceiling and wall as part of the solution.
