McLean schreibt ein gutes verständliches Englisch. Die Handlung ist klasse und arbeitet zielstrebig zum Höhepunkt. Wenig Wendungen,der Böse ist böse,der Gute ist gut. Zum Auffrischen der Sprache ein idealer Einstieg.

The Writer Who Keeps on Giving, Over and Over and Over
This was my third replacement of this book...I still re-read his 1950-1980 works at least once a year. I know, but you can hardly go wrong with Maclean's novels. They offer humor, a great adventure, good writing AND you can still sleep at night.

As a long time McClean reader and enthusiast, I had read this book many years ago. Even though many things in the book were no longer current, its twists and turns made it a delight to re-read.
