Q: I am a bit confused. what did you use to test your soil with after you get your sample. i am needing to test the ph. thank you

That would be something you’d likely need to do with your agriculture extension. With this tool, you push it into the ground and it is hollow , so it fills up inside with soil. Then you pull it back out of the ground and can remove the soil sample and see how wet or dry the soil is down like 6-8”. Living in Oregon, we have a lot of Spring rain and I wanted to make sure not to water too soon.

Q: How to empty soil sample?

Easy, just brush pt fleck soil into bucket and mix with other core samples. The probe is not totally enclosed.

The length of the tube is a little over 50cm, and the extremely sturdy tube is hollow all the way to the T-bar handle. I cannot imagine the strength it would take to push it 21cm, but I think it is strong enough; however, going to the depth of 50cm would depend on the type of soil, I think.
