My daughter, almost 5, loves this book. Its about a girl who lives in a haunted house, but has never seen a ghost. The special pages in the book allow you to see the ghost when the little girl can't. My daughter finds it so fun and loves pointing out the ghosts!

Nice book to read for the little ones

I (as a semi-mature) adult really liked this. It is actually quite spooky but I’m not entirely convinced that children WOULDN’T find this scary. Lovely book and the ghosts are very cute! But there are some random facts in advanced English (for children) on certain pages which children wouldn’t necessarily get.

This is an absolutely brilliant book. My 4 year old loved the story and looking for all the ghosts both on the original picture and with the special tracing paper pages. A beautifully illustrated book. The overlay pages have the ghosts on them, matching the sleeve (which has the spy holes in it). The gorgeous black & white backgrounds of the house with a vibrant main character makes this an eye catching book. The price point is definitely higher but for very good reason.

Halloween gift for my 8 & 6 year olds. They really enjoyed it, was definitely a good choice for slightly older children.

Youngest tore a page he reads it with such gusto. I bought another one, and I don't care if I have to replace it every year. He loves it and it's unlike any of his other books. He's 3.

The book came with this flaw, but overall it's pretty.

My son adored this book! I am always on the hunt for seasonal reads, and this book was definitely a splurge in terms of price, but it is so well done. My son was delighted with the overlay pages where the ghosts would show up. He loved their expressions and silly nature. He wanted to read it many times. It is a good length for a 5 year too, many pictures books are too babiesh and don't have enough story and words. But this was a nice mix of full page pictures and story. I was impressed with the realism of the photo backgroud, the illustrations and the ghost layers. It's a very good book overall and a Halloween favorite in our house. Definitely one for the special home collection.
