This seems to be a very well made hose for it's category better then any expanding hose I tried before. We have only had it for about a week, so I can't speak towards it's longevity. It is so much easier to use then a heavy conventional hose which you always have to spend time wrestling it and getting kinks out and it can sometimes break limbs on your plants; with this expanding hose that is all in the past.Another great thing you can store this expanding hose in a nice pot. You don't have to hang it on your house which messed up the paint on my siding from my conventional hose or put it in a hose housing which takes up more room and is harder to getout.My brother used it to spray our fruit trees and he loved the ease of use compared to our old conventional hose and that the expanding hose comes with a turn off valve at the end of the expanding hose. If you are using a hose sprayer this is very handy.If this hose lasts long and it should with the quality of materials used to construct it, then in my opinion it is well worth the moneyI have have used this all summer now and have had no leaks. I love this hose.Added a year later this hose is still like new...no rips, leaks, etc...Also at the end where you attach a sprayer it has a close off valve..so you can adjust the flow of water with out the sprayer and use as a dripper for trees or plants.

This hose is 100' long making it plenty long enough to take care of my gardening in both my front and back yard. The hose is lightweight yet heavy duty. The brass ends are high quality and provide a great seal. The hose didn't leak and easily fit onto my water spout. The end features an on/off valve to control the water if you are not using a water nozzle sprayer.When done using the hose just turn off the water and watch the hose shrink in size. It helps to let the valve stay open so the water will rush out. It helped us to get the hose to shrink much faster.Pros:- Less bulky.- Love the silver/gray color.- Brass ends are solid.- Brass end features an on/off valve.- Doesn't leak.- No worries about hose getting tangled up.- 12 month replacement.Cons:- None.I would definitely recommend this hose to a friend!I received a discount in order to test the product. I bought 2 of these hoses after researching expanding hoses diligently. I was hopeful the other good reviews and 1 year guarantee would make it worth the money. It was not. Within one month the hose had sprung 2 holes. I still had the second hose in the package. I installed it on the faucet and within 10 days, it too had sprung a leak, then the next day, blew up. I had returned the first hose, and when I went on the Amazon site to return the second, it said my return window had expired. I purchased the hoses on June 18th, 2016. As of August 4th 2016, I was told the exchange window had closed on July 24th. How is that a one year guarantee??? Don't waste your money on this product. I was very careful to follow directions and was cautious about dragging the hose across the driveway and the hose still sprung a leak in less than a month's usage, the second hose within 10 days of use. It seems like the "guarantee" is really only approximately one months time.

Don't get me wrong. This is a great hose. A really great hose that is strong and convenient. However twice now, the coupling where the brass ends and hose connects has burst. So I won't be getting another one. But if they could address this defect, i would.

Low pressure from this hose. Has to be stretched all the way out to get some sort of water pressure. I paid 9.95 what the hell I can't complain..haven't used it enough to see how it's standing up long term.

Got rid of all of my rubber hoses. This one is great - from back of house it reaches both sides. Can't beat weight and size. It only lasted one year - too pricey for reliability. I see its no longer offered on Amazon, which is a good thing.

Does not state in description anywhere that it is not for potable water. It has lead in it.

I purchased this hose on Jun 17th and by July 20th it already has a rip in it rendering it useless. I used the product as suggested. I'm so disappointed given the other high ratings by other customers. I contacted the company to see what the warranty policy is.
