Yamakiikai Japanese Mino-yaki Ceramic Tea Cup Matcha Bowl w/Saucer, Turquoise Kimura 220cc Japan Import M1364

I instantly fell in love with this cup and saucer. Beautiful colours and nicely made. The base of the cup and saucer are not glazed so anyone not liking the sound of earthenware rubbing will not like this. I love the rich colour of the cup and wish that I could buy more in different colours. The cup holds 250mm/half pint/1.057cups. Perfect for tea, coffee or any other beverage. It's now the only cup I use. When it comes to washing, I don't wash the saucer, I only wipe it with a damp cloth. The cup, I wash the inside with a soapy sponge and rinse out but I try not to get the base wet due to it not being glazed. I probably can submerge the whole thing into water but it's such a beautiful item, I'm being cautious. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind the sound of earthenware rubbing.

This is a beautiful cup and I love it, but of course for the money I wouldn't expect it to have a crack on the saucer. It is really lovely though and seems great quality, I'm just not sure how long will the saucer last. The cup is in a great condition

Nice colour and glaze. The saucer isn't glazed so tends to soak up stains but they wash out easily. This was purchased to replace a 40 year old favourite Japanese cup and saucer and I'm pleased with it.

Stupenda tazza in perfetto stile giapponese. Peccato che è aumentata considerevolmente di prezzo, altrimenti ne comprerei almeno un'altra.
