NerfRival Face Mask (Red) 3.19'' x 9.76''

Honestly, by the look of these I expected them to fog up like a diver's mask while in use. I also expected them to feel uncomfortable against your nose. None of my expected criticisms were found to be accurate after putting these masks on (I have both red and blue, and they both have the exact same size dimensions). While inspecting the insides, I have found that the sides of the mask stick out beyond the curvature of your face and are open to allow venting as a means to avoid fog-up. Upon further inspection, this mask is not suitable for paintball or airsoft due to the vulnerability of the open space on the sides of the mask due to this feature. Hollow rubber fits to your face securing the masks with enough depth to avoid smashing the nose... Well, my nose anyway. I will admit that it was a little tight around my eyes at first, but you can adjust the strap as needed. Apparently, 100 feet per second (FPS) foam Rival rounds fired directly against the mask at close range does not hurt, as does all other Nerf Elite dart ammo (including Mega and Mega missiles). If anyone else cared to notice, I have found that there are two metal weights that resemble silver magnets (they are not magnetic; one located above the nose area, the other between the eyebrows), but do not seem to serve any purposeful function other than weights. You may notice that the front picture I have taken of my masks look different from the product description, and that is because I forgot to take a picture before painting my masks, my apologies. Anyway, once properly taped-up, they are relatively easy to paint (I was able to Hydro-dip my blue and red in blue flames and yellow/orange flame print).

Use these for our kids nerf battles. Holding up good so far. Purchased 3 and so far no complaints from the kids. Only problem is when other kids come over they like these ones better then other brands we have, so they don't want to be stuck with the uncomfortable ones. These ones seem to fit better and would buy more. Several head shots and no eye injuries.

When you first pick this thing up you assume its flimsy because it's so light weight. But once it's on your face the thing is solid. You feel no impact. Even when you have a Nerf Rival Perses blast you in the face at 106 fps from 6 feet away. It protects your face very well and feels of great quality. my husband can wear it and so can my 5 year old daughter. fits everyone very well. Highly recommend buying one of these. Adds alot of fun to the game when you dont have to worry about it hurting when you get hit in the face.

Probably not fair to mark down Nerf for an Amazon mistake, but we were sent the wrong colour mask for my 9yo. I'm so frequently getting sent the wrong stuff by Amazon now that I didn't even raise a ticket - it's become total pot luck ordering from Amazon. The mask itself is fine - looks to be reasonable quality and the price was right.

Fits great and offers adequate protection. I bought this for protection for normal Nerf guns. After getting shot in the face from a modded Maverick, I decided protection would be necessary before my next battle. Paired with the right gear, the mask can also make you look like a formidable opponent. Strike fear into the hearts of your enemies! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Fits my 7-year-old's face as well as mine. The sides are completely open, so you don't have the feeling of confinement or overheating. My son wanted me to shoot him point-blank in the face with one of his guns. I shot him from 10 feet with an elite gun. Worked like a charm. I let him shoot me point-blank with a mega. No problem at all.My son plays with bigger kids and often gets hit in the face. I feel better when he wears eye protection, but this is even better. He loves it.

These are awesome masks for Nerf wars!Build quality is good. They are hard plastic. If you have a bigger face, the plastic can press hard on you and can be somewhat uncomfortable. But for kids there should be no issue.The mask provides full face protection. I bought one for my 5 year old and one for my 7 year old. They both love them. I may buy again to have as spares for their friends when they come over.Very good buy. Money well spent

Overall the mask has a nice comfortable rubber gasket for the face. The Mask is quite large for my almost 5 year old. Probably more 8-10 range, which is really what it was designed for. That being said...who doesn't like having a good nerf gun fight with their 5 year old.
