I purchased this sink collection via amazon and was very careful to ensure that ny tapwear and additional bowls and chopping boards etc would be also aligned with the measurements of this sink. It was installed as an overmount system, by professional builders. It looked great from day one, especially with the industrial sink and additional collander and chopping board bits. However, as this was the first experience using a high quality gourmet sink, I wanted to be careful that I followed in structions about cleaning and maintaining this sink and its accessories, as I wanted to keep this sink for many years ahead. 1) Cleaning: As it said in the manual, to clean the sink, use a small amount of dish liquid and wipe down with a soft cloth after each use. What it didn't say to do is how to manage heavy loads and the necessary scratching that comes along when washing dishes after a whole family have eaten, or what to do when all the baking trays and oven trays are (seemingly) hardier than the sink is. My sink is now left with lots and lots of scratches and bumps. I am not sure a) how to get these out; and b) if this us just the quality of the product I bought. 2) The quality of the sink itself. My plumber, after putting in the sink, said he was a little concerned that hot water condensation from the sink was quickly forming on the underside of the sink, pretty much whenever the sink was used to contain any water or food containers tht were hot. The bottom of the sink, and surrounds, is not insulated, and then a problem of damp and mold started in under the cabinets frtom my sink. I asked my contractor if I should put in extra insulation to stop the leaking hot water that had now gotten all in to the pipes and floors anduer the sink; but was recommended that wouldn’t be much help. I tried to call Kraus at the time to advise but I was unable to reach anyone with expert advice. In any event, you can see how the sink's lack of insulation has caused all this flooding/damage to the base of my kitchen floors. The final thing I want to say is that I splurged on the idea of this sink: that could help central all the ADHD'ers in the house and give us joy and focus as we had planned our stations so well....however as things got broken (refer to the salad bowl holder), and our base sink seemed to frighten us with its gentle constitution ("don't scracth me!" to the constant dripping of hot water below in to the cabinets) led to all those pockets of rust, I have had a really sad experience with this product. And i know I might sound flippant, but this is my first home and renovation .... I was very sick and wanted a place of my own to gather and show family and friends what could be done if you do your research, and invest in some fantastic designers. I still think KRAUS are amazing at what they do... but maybe this product in particular was a dud. I would absolutely love to talk to someone from the KRAUS team about what can be done to restore the sink itself to its previous condition; and whether anything can be done to replace the broken additional parts. I’ll be reaching out to Amazon customer service for help: I am really hoping to rectify this problem.

Have had it installed for a little over a week now and I love how easy it makes kitchen chores. Washing a large pan or heavy crock pot is so simple now. I added a roll-out dish rack (also from Kraus) and now those large pots and pans can dry without taking up space in the sink or on the counter too. The garbage disposal is quieter now when using the solid drain cover. I only need to remove it to dump coffee grounds. Small waste still flows easily into the drain while the cover is in place. The look of the sink with the cover in place is also much improved. I've used the chopping board once, and having it directly over the drain is a convenience I didn't know I needed. I normally use my chopping board in "landscape" mode, so the orientation is off for me, but I'll get used to it. I've only bothered to wipe the sink down once, with a dry sponge. It removed the spots without using cleaner. Probably will continue that at regular weekly intervals. I upgraded from a two-bowl sink with garbage disposal, so having only the center-mounted garbage disposal with this sink freed up a ton of space underneath in the cabinet. I was able to put all of the items I had under there previously, plus the two new accessories (chopping board and drainer). Having the right tools and an occasional second pair of hands is essential if installing yourself. I had to test fit the new sink several times to ensure proper alignment with the existing cut-outs in the countertop, and to mark holes in the new sink for the faucet and air gap cover. I then had to drill the stainless steel with the appropriate-sized carbide tipped hole saw. Fortunately, the hole placement wasn't impacted much by the steel rails mounted under the sink edges. Drilling through those would have been more difficult. I'm very happy with how it all came together and with how the sink performs. It's well designed, highly functional, and looks great.

We put in butcher block countertops and replaced a 3 basin sink. Was not sure about having one basin after 3 BUT, this sink in a pleasure. Had a plumber install because I did the countertops and didn't want to mess with it. This sink is the 32" center drain we have been using it since September just over 3 months. The plumbers were amazed at the cost and quality and had not seen a sink with this thickness of Stainless steel. It is heavy gauge and well made, no it does not drain real fast but does drain completely. I have had not had trouble removing water spots and we have alkaline nasty water. It is a beautiful sink, deep and wide and the bottom grate and extras are great. It really is a show piece of the kitchen. can be top mounted as we did or under mount. Hardware seemed sturdy and plumbers had o trouble installing. Has not scratched yet, buy it, way worth the price.

I bought this big sink for the cutting board and the steel colander. Its great for expanding work space and controlling mess with meal preps. The single badin is great for stacking a big mess of pots and utensils for rinsing soaking etc. The full size metal draining rack is really sturdy quality & It protects the sink surface and stacked dishes. However for its size and minimal slope the sink does not drain fast. It has to be vigorously hosed and wiped out or crud collects around the edges. To clean the sink well you have to remove the big draining rack often which is inconvenient. I would actually prefer a half size rack that could slide side to side for easier cleaning & removal. Otherwise I love this sink / workstation.
