If you like Texas history, you will like this book. Photos and stories of some of the lesser know people in Texas history, as well as the household names. While the earliest photos are all portrait shoots, not candid photos, it provides a look back to a forgotten time.

I am so pleased with this volume. It is beautifully executed and crammed with illusive information. Having lived a long life hooked on Texas history and Texas books, it is a treat to see these collected photographs of individuals with familiar names. The format is excellent as is the kind of information provided by the author.

This is a great book for anyone interested in Texas history from a political perspective. It is easy to understand and fun to share with guests. I bought it for my office and all of our out of town friends love flipping through it. Chuck Bailey did a great job, Thanks!
