In a cramped studio deep in Bushwick, New York City, You Am I hunkered down to make a start on 'Porridge & Hotsauce', their tenth studio album and first since their self-titled release in 2010. Lead single Good Advices, a track which songsmith Tim Rogers says is about "throwing away the script and clinging to your imagination as the only guide. We've trusted our wits so far, and if it got us here, this hopped up and rarin' to go, our wits done good. With 10 Australian ARIA Awards Rogers is right about that. Porridge & Hotsauce is sure to be another well-loved addition to the band's catalogue.

You Am I is an amazing band. However
You Am I is an amazing band. However, this is their less than pop recording (anti-pop would be a bit too strong). It may take a while for this disc to grow on me. If you love the band than buy it. If you are looking for an intro to the band try Deliverance.

Eher schwach
Besitze alle Alben von You Am I. Dies ist eines der schwächeren. Empfehle stattdessen die ersten vier CD's für Freunde des gitarrenorientierten Alternative Rock Made in Australia.
