Design Toscano Chorus Line Cats Cast Iron Statue, Black

I love this whimsical little thing. I got it as a weight to keep my cats from prying the vent cover open & roaming around in the ducts. It's very effective and amuses me as well!

I purchased this as an Anniversary gift (Iron, 6 years) and it arrived broken on the day of which was a bummer. One of the cats was fully off the base. We returned it and received a second broken unit a few days later. One of the cats paws was broken off but we decided to epoxy it back on instead of returning it. Also, the felt on the base is inadequate and doesn't cover the edges of the metal so I'd be very careful putting this on any surface that is malleable or susceptible to scratching. I'd also advise opening this in an area that's easy to clean as the styrofoam is very cheap and crumbles leaving beads EVERYWHERE. We'll be cleaning them up for months. The only reason I gave it two stars is that we really like it and it's a shame that it's so fragile. You'd expect something made of cast iron to be pretty sturdy but not in this case. Buy it, fix it and display it somewhere safe if you're so inclined.

Is an attractive piece for display.

If you need a statue of four cats in a chorus line, this is the only game in town. How cast iron and sturdy and heavy it is! You can take my word for this, we have five cats and the statue correctly approximates their behavior every time we come home. IMPORTANT: cats are dancing, not zombies.

Such a great looking piece!

This is really cute and makes a nice gift for someone who likes cats. It is heavy enough to use for a doorstop and yet light enough to put on a shelf as either just a decoration or possibly to hang keys or some other item on. Looks and feels durable, so doubt it would easily break, if at all. It is cast iron after all. Maybe a little pricey, but you are getting a quality product. What's the downside? It is solid black (blacker than it appears in the photo) and might have been a little nicer with some color added, even if just the cats eyes had some color. If you are artistic, I suppose you could custom paint it yourself. You need to be careful with this if you put it up on a low shelf as it is heavy enough to cause serious injury if pulled off the shelf by a young child and it falls on them. I think it is best used on the floor either just as a decoration or as a doorstop. I like it and recommend it, if you like this kind of thing. I noticed this company makes a line of dancing pigs as well.

I'm not sure how you could possible look at this and not smile. It's 4 cats, in a chorus line. Sure it makes me laugh in an ironic sort of way, because how awesome and random is this. The sculpture itself is quite solid, details are very nice. The only downside is the piece of foam rubber that goes on the bottom, pushes up inside of the casting a bit (the casting is hollow on the bottom) so if you are worried about what you are setting it on you might want to add a bit more protection.

This is a great little statue, perfect to use as a doorstop or decoration. It's very solid with a good heft. It arrived exactly as shown in the picture and I'm very happy with it.
