Immigrants head west for a better life...
This is a nice storyline and totally entertaining. The only violence is a couple fights but nothing serious. There are no sexual scenes or cussing so could be read by anyone. I did find that since I first bought this book, the cover had changed so I was surprised when I went to find it on Amazon. Both covers were fine and only added to the story as the heroine is from Slovakia. The book is about the poverty of immigrants from Europe in 1895 and finding a better life by moving west. With both parents dead, Silvia and her brother, Emil, were on their own. It is an interesting story with a happy outcome which is always a good feeling when you hit the last page. Thanks for a good story and it was nice meeting a new author.

Such a Sweet Story!
I really enjoyed reading about Dell and Silvia. Having to find a woman and marry her in order to keep his ranch sure put a strain on Dell, especially when his cousin was waiting in the wings to take the ranch away from him.Silvia hated men fighting because it reminded her of ? Does she come to understand Dell? Will she fall in love with him, and marry him? What about her brother Emil will she see him again?Getting this book, reading it for yourself will give you all these answers and more. It's a Beautiful story and well worth reading.

Silvia the Stickman s Slovak mail order bride
Lived the story. Great read. Two things didn't care for; at the wedding ceremony, it should have read I now pronounce you husband and wife. Not man and Wife. Second, the ending wad so abrupt and as actually kind of stupid. It really was not well written.
