I had always heard very good things about Spit Defog. So, I took it on a liveaboard trip to the Philippines recently and was very disappointed. I had constant problems with my mask fogging up. I tried lesser amounts and then more amounts but my mask kept fogging up to the point I used the boat's defog. I may have been doing something wrong. The mask was not new so it wasn't a matter of conditioning it. It just didn't work as well as I thought.

I snorkel a lot, and I've tried all the anti-fog solutions, and for a wet, mid swim option, this stuff works great. I usually apply it as I enter the ocean, and only need to reapply it once mid-swim. You need to MAKE SURE YOUR MASK IS CLEAN before applying, most people fail to do this. The only downside is that you have to let your swim mask air out for a little bit after applying, or it will sting your eyes. It only takes maybe 30secs so it's not a big deal. I LOVE the clip too, I have lost 2 of the other bottles, so If your swimming in rougher conditions, I definitely recommend the clip version!

Hooks to the outside of my pool bag so I don’t have to root around in my bag for it. Spits keeps my goggles free from fogging up. I use one spray on one side, rub it around with my finger and transfer to the other side. Then rinse in pool and I’m good for the rest of 1.5 hour practice.

Great product clip is just the right size.
