When you talk about ABAP on HANA, covering AMDP ( ABAP managed Database Procedures) concept is extremely important to help your co- ABAPers know how data is fetched and manipulated or how data is fetched and different arithmetic/logical operations are performed at HANA Database level , rather than the traditional approach in SAP ECC where data is fetched at database layer and operations on the fetched data are performed in application layer of R/3 architecture. And apart from covering how to write an AMDP Method , you should have also covered the topic of " how to debug an AMDP code " in HANA studio / Eclipse. AMDP topic is the most important one in " ABAP on HANA " module . Disappointed not to see this topic getting covered or presented in the book .
