Priceless wisdom on life and death and dying
This book is a classic about the process of living-right-up-until-you-die. It is Ted Menten's experience distilled from working with terminally-ill children (and adults, as well) for years. I found that it is vastly more helpful than a LOT of books (including pastoral care books) about terminal illness and dying-too-young. If you know of a pastor, a pediatric nurse, an oncology nurse, a hospice worker, or ANYONE connected with terminally-ill kids, this is a great resource. But it's ALSO a great resource for anyone who seems challenged by living. I have shared this with a lot of 20-something folks in drug/alcohol recovery, and they have found inspiration from the wisdom of these children. The last two stories alone are worth the cost to get this gem.It was well worth it at it's original price - it's a STEAL at these prices. Buy two - because you will want to lend or give one away, for sure.
