Feast paced and enjoyable
This volume four has not lost the charm of any of the first three books. The characters have become more interesting and enjoyable.

Fantastic we
What a wonderful imagination Torsten has! The characters are so interesting and honorable, the baddies are really nasty! A superb read.

Great series continues!
Weitze has a way of drawing the reader in and keeping you guessing through the twists and turns of the plot. The character development continues to surprise and the developing romance is fun to watch unfold. Well done and can’t wait to read the next one!

Pretty good
Overall it's a pretty good book. I can't stop reading it and I love the characters in the book but sometimes the plot can get a little bit repetitive.

Awesome!
I’ve read a lot of books and this one stand out. I mean it’s the 3rd in the series and I haven’t been moved by a scene like I was in a long time. Enjoy!!

Interesting book
I listened through Audible. The narration was good. I liked the story line in this book. The characters were just alright. There are many characters. A very sarcastic magician, a warrior, a musician, a massive wolf, a cut throat and the newest Palladian searching for all the other Palladian to come together and end the dark one. I find the characters personalities are getting more flippant and not more engrossed in what they need to do instead.

Refreshing take on the epic journey
This book is a refreshing take on several high, Dr fantasy genres. The magic sister has blender l never been done the same. The apprentice to master journey toddlers on the human aspect, while still holding true to the archetype. And you have so much more to look to beyond this point and so do I.

Original Story Line
With every book, my respect for the author of this series grows. My love of fantasy-based world-building fiction is well into its 4th decade now and whilst it is a passion that will hopefully never die, it has however taken heavy damage this last decade. Torsten Waitze has done fantastic work on repairing that erosion with a classical fantasy tale but one with an original storyline. This series has all the greats Dwarfs, Dragon's, Dungeons and Dark elves but none of them acts like they do in a good 95% of the dross published these days. Add to that very intoxicating mix Pirates, Powers Paladins and Priests leaving you with a magical Fantasy Brew. A potion that will not only knock you on you're back with a smile on your face but leave you with a terrible thirst for the next book.

An Adventurous Read
Weitze describes each aspect of their journey in such a way that you can feel it from the scorching sun and "sand in every crevice" of the desert, to the sweltering heat of the jungle. I found this volume of Ahren, Culhen, Falk, Selsena, Jelninolan, Uldini and Torgadon's quest to gather the Paladins particularly atmospheric.

I read the authors plea ......
and may well consider doing so as , so far , an enjoyable read with well drawn characters . I rarely comment on every book as amazons insistance on writing more than is needful to make a point annoys me no end . I usually top and tail a revue ( 1st and last book to those without the wit to understand ) and if this series continues as is I will definately do so .

More twists than elasticman.
Another brilliant chapter in the life of the Paladins. I didn't expect some of the twists and turns and the outcomes ranged from I thought that might happen to I did not see that coming. I'm still booked and can't wait to read the next. Fully recommended.

Great book
This is a great book in a great series, any fantasy fan is sure to love it, the characters are rich and well developed. The only issue I have with these books is that they are a bit short for my tastes.
