Binge reading
I got lost in time reading these books . I binge read the first 5 books and now i am waiting really impatiently for the 6th and 7th books to be finished translated to English and published.I'm really wishing i could read German so i wouldn't have to wait to continue this epicI will not ruin the story so i will just say i really recommend this series to everyone who likes any genre of fantasy books from michael j sullivan to game of thrones to Stephen aryan to Dave wilmarth or Brandon sanderson to name a few. If you like any of these authors you will love getting stuck into this story.I have about 30 books in my kindle reader and 430 in my audible app but although I always leave a star rating out of all those purchases I have left less than 10 written reviews so I hope that this will more than telling you about the story and ruining the plot for you will say all that needs to be said about highly recommending this series to all readers of exciting action fantasy.Tony mc

Original Story Line
With every book, my respect for the author of this series grows. My love of fantasy-based world-building fiction is well into its 4th decade now and whilst it is a passion that will hopefully never die, it has however taken heavy damage this last decade. Torsten Waitze has done fantastic work on repairing that erosion with a classical fantasy tale but one with an original storyline. This series has all the greats Dwarfs, Dragon's, Dungeons and Dark elves but none of them acts like they do in a good 95% of the dross published these days. Add to that very intoxicating mix Pirates, Powers Paladins and Priests leaving you with a magical Fantasy Brew. A potion that will not only knock you on you're back with a smile on your face but leave you with a terrible thirst for the next book.

Swashbuckling Stuff
This arc of the story is all about the sea, and the rise of evil boy Sven. Weitze continues to give enough description to create a palpable atmosphere you can emerse yourself in. The exploits of The Cold Woman and her sea serpent is deeply uncomfortable, as is Khara's sacrifice (she doesn't die!) - as they say in tne book, the gods might not have given her Paladin status but in every other way she is one of them.

Great read
This has to be the best in the series so far! Lots happening and plenty of action and suspense. Kept me up most nights as I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Well written and thought out. Have been reading fantasy fiction for over 25years and this series has to be one of my favourites can't wait to read next one.

READ THIS SERIES!
Having read all five books in three days iam now facing a bleak existence untill the next one appears. It was like reading the Belgariad for the first time. Utterly blown away! Relatable characters, believable relationships, well thought out plot. I hope to be reading and rereading Mr Weitze's work for many, many years to come! Thank you.

Swashbuckling saga
Imagination is a Wonderful thing and this author has it in spades. So far I have read 5 of the six volumes, each one a shade better than the first. Do I recommend this book. Oh yes!!

Better and better
Continuing the saga with bated breath. The main characters are getting stronger, on both sides, and we're heading for ... The next book. Keep going

Excellent
This series of books keeps you from putting them down and they are really realistic as the heroes are just as flawed as the villains and don't always come through without injuries.
