Great read. I felt like I was in the novel. Proud to be an American. As a confused kid in the 60s I enjoyed the perspective and clarity this novel provided. I highly recommend.

Excellent narrative of Vietnam air combat. However, the conversations and some of the settings are very stilted and don't really reflect how people talk. Also, there are a number of situations that are left hanging without being tied to the story
