In theory, the vent mounts with pivoting head should work great. But in practice on my Ford Focus (1st gen) it fails to do the trick. The metal plates attached to the back of my HTC One are much less effective due my protective case (Supcase). The weight of the phone makes the vents droop down and with my firm suspension driving on the BQE (think nightmare pothole torture test track, it falls right off). The rest of the country with roads that are halfway decent might not have a problem with it. The rubber feet also tend to slide off.The suction mount appears to be good. I only wish they included a smooth plastic plate to attach to my dash so the mount could stick onto something. Had to order that separately for $5.

I had to keep readjusting it and the knobs are covered in thick rubber but with a lot of shifting they rubbed off and had sharp metal hooks which scratched the vents on my leased car so I stopped using it. If I hadn't kept putting it on/off because of the moon roof glare on my cell I would've given it (1) more star(s) at least. Good value just keep it posted and should be good!

I bought originally just to mount my iphone 6 plus on my dashboard. It fits the size of my phone which I was concerned about. It lasted a day or so on my dash and then would not stay at all. I was going to return it, but decided to try it on my windshield. It has been on for a week or so now and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

This car mount lasted less than 1 month. The adhesive is sticky, but not sticky enough to stay on the dashboard even with the help of the suction cup. It is very heat-sensitive, so on warm days, the suction cup loosens and the glue's effectiveness is nil; it came flying off the dashboard as I was making a right turn, narrowly missing hitting my face, which could have been very dangerous. I discarded it because no matter how well I stuck it on again with the suction cup and leftover glue, it kept flying off the dashboard while driving; it became a safety hazard.This couldn't bear the warm Spring temperatures of L.A., so my guess is this will work better where the climate is mostly cloudy/cold with low humidity.

Received it on time. I wanted a car mount which fit in the vents. This does fit there, but has nothing on it to hold the phone, I think there was supposed to be some magnet between the phone and mount as shown by blue rays, but it does not work AT ALL. I am using the other mount onn the dash board which has suction cups. Its my first day. However the inability to use it with the vents -Very disspointing. I drive long distances and have to take phone calls. I don't want the phone to be on the dashboard but next to the steering wheel.

It's okay, doesn't really work in my vehicle (2004 RX330), but not sending it back. I used one of the magnets so I'm keeping it. I guess if you own a different type of vehicle it might stay on your dash board. It won't adhere on my mine and that it why I only gave the product three (3) stars.

I like this phone mount very much. I really wish the vent mounts would work better because I think I would use them them the most. However, with an iPhone 6, the ball joint rolls and tips the phone downward. It needs a tightener or lock to hold it in place.Update: I had to lower my rating. The mount rarely stayed "attached" to any surfaces in my car, and the vent mount continually fell off. Both detached when hitting bumps. Kind of a bummer.

Love the product just wish it would stick some where other than glass. Tried placing it on my dashboard and all it did was uncup and fall. Highly recommended for glass/window use but don't recommend for dashboard use.
