Fancy shape and fancy box
On the plus side, I have a lot of it. On the negative side, it's not very good. Historically, the cooking time recommendations for mainstream Barilla pasta has been very accurate, but this stuff I swear you can boil until the end of time and it will still be crunchy. No joke, doubling the recommended cooking time is not enough. As for the pasta itself, it's the same formulation as any other Barilla product, just in a fancy shape. Nothing too exciting.

Casarecce is a crowd pleaser
Casarecce is my favorite pasta shape. This brand is the Best Buy on subscribe and save. It is delicious. I know I shouldn't buy products from this company since they are anti gay rights. Hopefully, the company has realized that they have lost this social battle and has moved on to antipoverty or another much needed cause.

Excellent Pasta
Hard to find and great to eat. More body than spaghetti, holds thinner sauces such as Alfredo better than most shapes

Casarecce pasta is hard to cook and remains tough.
Amazon should stop grouping reviews like this one, in which different types of pasta are ALL reviewed as if it was one under all names.The Casarecce reviews I read (assumed to be specific reviews) turned out to be a mix of several pasta types all bunched into one.I do not like the fact that Casarecce pasta takes forever to cook (it actually never really 'softens' like other Barilla pasta styles), and it remains with that uncooked texture that it is not to my taste.

This stuff is excellent
These are really good - don't believe Alton brown that all drum wheat pasta is the same. This stuff is excellent. Really dresses up the old spaghetti meal.
