A1 Landmarks - well worth a look
An ideal accompaniment to Chris Coopers " The Great North Road then and now". It flags up landmarks you may have seen and gives their background and others you simply didn't know existed.

A fantastic reference book highlighting so many interesting places you could easily miss. The research is meticulous and the publication covers wide ranging subject matter, from castles to police stations, synagogues to petrol stations! This book really shows off our rich architectural heritage.(note, same initial and surname but I am not the author!)

Fascinating insight into the buildings and landmarks along this well trodden road, the detail and research is very impressive.Well worth a read and have also given a copy to my trucker brother-in-law to brighten up his long journeys!
