Country Brook Petz - Lavender Martingale Heavyduty Nylon Dog Collar and Double Handle Leash (1 Inch, Medium)

I would have rated this a 5, but the coller does not unclip. You have to put it over the head. My dog has a big head, so once on, I adjust it a little more snug. This coller and leash work well and is very durable. I love the color variety. Good price for leash and coller combo.

The collar and leash seem to be good quality. The fit on my dog is nice and was true to size.

I'm not going to rant and rave about how terrific these are, because I didn't expect any less than what I received.I know that's a funny thing to say, but shopping for such a basic item really made me think about the dichotomy of expecting of such items to either be "premium" or complete garbage. 20 years ago, I would have walked into a store and bought something like this off the shelf without thinking about it. Now I have to think about everything.I'm even less of an expert on stitching than I am of nylon webbing, but this appears to be perfectly ordinary nylon webbing of a perfectly sufficient quality, stitched together well, in a bright color I selected, with solid hardware that isn't poorly-chromed pot metal, finished to a much higher luster than strictly necessary. Completely unsurprising. Exactly what I ordered.I ordered the Martingale spare collar (conveniently attached to spare leash) because it never gets removed and left somewhere in the house where Daddy can't find it when he's home alone. I haven't used the doubled handle, but I like that it's there if I want to.

We use this collar regularly and have the matching leash as well. What I love most about this collar is how smooth the material is - it is great for our pup who has very sensitive skin. The martingale is great for dogs who can slip out of regular collars. After two years of regular use, I can genuinely say it is one of my favorite collars in terms of looks and functionality. It holds up well.

I ordered two sets of these (a small for my 24lb beagle and a medium for my newly adopted 50lb pit bull mix), one teal and one green. The colors are very accurate to the photos and the quality is great. My only “complaint” is that you can’t choose the width or length of the leash - the width matches the collar size and these are a bit longer than I like to have. I prefer a wider leash so that it doesn’t cut into my hand so much and the small leash isn’t as big as I would have liked. A metal hook at the base of the leash handle would have been nice to clip my poo bag holder too but not necessary, just a nice quality of life additive. You really can’t beat these sets for the price though.

I really like the packaging and the color. Fits my dog nicely and is sturdy. Will definitely buy another in a different color.
