Q: How is iv different from iii

the shoulder strap has the under-the-armpit portion, which helps keep the neutral arm position better. YMMV, however. I preferred that extra stability over the typical over-the-shoulder-only version. it can also offload some of the pressure on the shoulder and neck muscle that the main belt is resting on. It did cause a bit of pressure on rare occasions. But overall, I found it to be beneficial.

Q: Can you remove the pillow?

Yes, the pillow has velcro that attaches it to the sling part. The waist strap attaches to the pillow only, so removing the pillow also removes the waist strap.

Q: Can one person put this on?

Yes, one person can put this sling on. It takes a little practice, so it's best to practice before a surgery, if possible.

Q: Would this sling work well for a broken clavicle?

I think so. This sling takes the pressure off of the shoulders/ clavicle while still keeping the arm close to the body and secure.
