Made in USA - PROUDLY
The media could not be loaded. So, on some random too much to drink night, I watched some guy build a cabin on YouTube. And I was enthralled by the draw knife. So, since we had just purchased a cabin and I have these great ideas of making rustic rails and handrails for our cabin I figured I needed a draw knife. Now there are lots of draw knives on Amazon- But I chose this one because it was made in USA. Little did I know it was made in La Crosse Wisconsin which is just a few hours away from us!Well after six months or so the winter is finally passed us and I’ve gotten a chance to use it. This thing works great. It’s incredibly sharp and durable and easy to use, it slices the bark off of Maple like you’re going through melted butter. In the video you see me hitting some rough spots those were actually big knots in the wood that eventually the knife sliced right through. Easy work even for an old fat guy like me.

Good blade, but cheap handles.
The blade is a good thick steel, but the handles feel like a light plastic. Not sure how well those will hold up. I wish the handles were a more solid and rugged grip.

Bought this item and it came in with the blade all chipped and nicked up. I called the supplier and they sent me a brand new one the next day. Their customer service is top notch and I would buy from them again. The tool works wonderfully and holds a razor sharp edge for a long time. I have been using it to clean the thick bark from easter white pine trees prior to milling and its the perfect tool IMO.

great base tool
The blades edge is machined extremely well, i felt it wasn't as sharp as it could be, used belt sander to put a razor on it, stays very sharp now

Good Control
I like this draw knife. It takes a bit to get used to (it if you have used other draw knifes). The draw angle is quite steep on this one; however, this allows you to hold the knife relatively flat as you draw across the work. Good control. Thanks,Mike
