Good construction overall but the razor comes with full size blades that protrude through the cut-out on the handle! The only way to use this item is to order single edge blade or break them in two before you take the razor out of the wrapping. Even with derby blades you still have to push the razor in all the way because it moves when you close the handle and exposes an uneven blade. I am new to straight razors so this is just my initial opinion, I will say that so far I find it a necessary addition to a long handle razor because it's much easier to get in the tight areas. I feel like I just need to get used to this style razor and it will become one of my favorites.

Nice handle, but small for large hands. Comes with double edged blades and no instructions on how to place the blade. No way to cover blade when not in use. Others say the blades need to be broken in half. Seems a bit risky for this sharp blade.

Works good, doesn't take long to get used to it. Since I used the traditional barber all my life I was a little skeptical about this one, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

Amazon refunded my money for this item.I had a devil of a time getting it open to insert the blade. The blade is not sharp enough and the angle felt awkward to me. Would probably never be able to get the old blade out to put a new one in.
