How do you keep them from slidding off? I tried it on my 6 yr old 8 yr old, and myself. They don't stay on for 15 seconds

We were not wonderfully successful in getting them to stay on well. My 5 yo grand daughter washed her nose with soap and water (to make sure we had all skin oils removed) first, made sure her skin was very dry before applying them, and tried to have her not touch them once they were on. We did, ultimately go to the old school pink latex nose clips on a latex ‘string’ that worked MUCH better. These are sold in a 10 pack on Amazon as well and each comes in a nice plastic case.

will these work on a 5 year old?

Depends on the 5 year old’s size. My impression is nose plugs are for 7 years plus … and my conviction is that it’s best to allow children to learn to swim nose plug free. But bought these for grandchildren, so my convictions don’t hold sway 😉
