Excellent large grill choice with some great additional features
Cooking with natural gas isn't the same as cooking with LP. While it's going to take a little getting used to, I found the natural gas solution to be perfect for our deck where I had a natural gas line installed. This BK Regal S590 Pro (natural gas) has a large cooking surface that is easily accessible to any kind of spatula (i.e., the sides are low enough to give you easy access to the food cooking in the back. The left side external burner works great and the right side external work surface is sturdy. I chose this grill for its five burners to evenly distribute heat unlike some other grills which have a huge cooking area but don't have burners evenly distributed (or are missing some). I shouldn't have worried about that because the Flav-R- Wave plates (their term for heat plates) do a great job distributing the heat evenly. A huge surprise was the quality and capability of the built in rotisserie burner (in the upper back of the grill - don't use this while using the main burners on the grill to avoid grease fires from drippings). I've never had a grill that had a separate rotisserie burner - seems to work great, too. The heat box is large and convection cooking is easy. The utensil holders and bun trays in the front of the side work surfaces was a very nice touch. Now...on to assembly. Generally, assembly is pretty easy - it took me about two hours with some help. However, the instructions (pictures only, without words) need some work. Specifically, the parts aren't numbered - sometimes. Some of them are and some of them aren't. Companies that have been delivering assembly-required products do a good job in identifying parts and assembly is easy where you don't have to guess which screw to use based on the little picture. Come on, Broil King guys...you've got a good product here - do a better job identifying the parts (specifically the screws). You can save yourself some grief and separate all the screws (which come in one bag) before you start. But still - we had to guess more than once which screw went where. Tolerances on some holes were too tight (e.g., the magnetic door stops have to be held in place by two screws each by screwing them into the base - the holes were way too tight and I really had to drive them in. The assembly pictures were often way smaller than they needed to be and it was hard to see how a screw/washer combo was installed. Sometimes the instructions would show a top-level picture and then show a blow-up of the area in question - but the image would be reversed or rotated some how making the orientation dissimilar to the top-level picture. It wasn't a big deal - just required me to think about it for another second. When all was said and done, however, I thought the grill went together well. I'm looking forward to see how it holds up over time.

I'm a BBQ Pro now.
I purchased this BBQ over a year ago. I live 1/4 mile from the ocean so things don't last long. This BBQ looks as good as the day I got it. Yes I keep it covered when not in use. Yes I clean it when needed. Lots of parts but relatively easy to assemble. The BBQ is heavy so definitely need two people. Let me say I have never spent over $600 for a BBQ so this one had a little sticker shock. By the time I cooked on it 3 or 4 times I forgot about the price. Now after one year I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone. My family tells me that everything I cook on it, pork, steak, fish, ribs. chicken all taste like they are eating at a restaurant. The BBQ is powerful so you need to watch things. All the features are spot on quality. A big selling point for me was the Rotisserie burner. My family is spoiled on my brined rotisserie turkey at Thanksgiving. The burner cooks perfectly and last years turkey was perfect. Works great with chickens as well. I did lots of looking and research before making this purchase. I have no regrets. Sticker shock? Forget it. It's worth every penny. I have nothing bad to say about this BBQ. I use this BBQ a minimum of 3 times a week so it gets lots of use. The only thing I haven't tried yet is smoking on it but that's in the near future. Once again, a quality American made product.

Good equipment well made just needs some fine tuning.
Searing burner is smaller then hoped for. Too many unrelated holes in the unit that require screening if you have a critter problem. Purchased stainless screening to block from the inside.

Burners rusted out in one year!!!
I purchased this grill in December of 2017, so just over a year ago. It is a fairly well constructed bbq and worked fine for the first year. However, this March 2019 I went to use it and the lighter would not work (and yes the battery was good). I then tried to light it with a lighter and it still wouldn’t light. I took the grates and burner covers off to discover that all the burners were mostly rusted shut. Now mind you, I have always kept the grill under cover and covered with the Broil King cover. I removered one of the burners and physically opened all the little holes so the gas could get out and reinstalled it. It still wouldn’t light normally and would only “light up” when I ran the lighter along the burner. These burners are supposedly stainless steel but still rust horribly. The rest of the bbq is still in useable but I’m not going to replace the 5 burners every year at $30 each. This is really poor quality. Back to Weber I go!

Sadly Item was damaged, seller is issuing a full refund. I'm still waiting for my refund (day 3 of 5) but honestly the seller has been great. I still look forward to getting this grill, it's a beast and I love all of the features .

Awesome Grill!
The Broil King S590 Pro got really good reviews from an independent website, not to mention great Amazon reviews. We had purchased a Napoleon Grill that was actually $300 more than this one, but had to return it due to damage and the fact that 3 bolts broke off while hand-tightening. We are super happy with the Broil King, which was easy to assemble. This grill is sturdy and really well built with nice little details, like blue lighted knobs and nice steel handles. I recommend getting the matching Broil King cover. It's waterproof, heavy (so shouldn't blow away in a wind storm) and has flexible rubber handles to easily lift it off). The cooking surface is ample with the 5 burners. I haven't used the rotisserie attachment yet (included) but look forward to it! Buy this grill!
