Ruff Dawg The Rock -Yellow

My dog is a 2-year old miniature dachshund who weighs about 8 lbs. Believe it or not, she is the most extreme-chewing dog I have ever owned! Perhaps she's a little unique in her jaw-stength, but she has destroyed about 85% of all the toys she's ever had, excluding classic Nylabones (which she's still chewed down to stubs).I purchased this RuffDawg - The Rock toy because reviews claimed it to be an extremely fun, durable toy that dogs love to play with. I'd agree with most of that statement - we played fetch for a very long time and my dog absolutely loved how the toy bounced all over the place. But as soon as I let her chew on it for a few minutes she had already torn a chunk off. Other reviewers have stated this as well, but the part she chewed off was on the flat "ledge" on the side. Perhaps a re-designed version of this toy would be more durable?I might keep this toy for fetch sessions only. I will not be letting her chew on it any longer, however, as the chunk she chewed off was much larger than a grain of rice (that size or smaller is okay to ingest, apparently). She went crazy the whole time were were playing fetch and I do like the toy, but I wish it was slightly more durable.On a different note - As another reviewer stated, I tried to order the "marble" pattern and instead received solid bright orange. I wish I would have received what I ordered, or got to choose the color. My dog already has several orange toys in the same type of material and I'm looking for variety for my dog to continue enjoying playtime.

So far dogs live this. Read the size carefully. I should have got one size up according to the package. My dogs are 62 and 64lbs each. Package says to 60lbs. So far they seem to be fine with the size. Could be because they cannot read and the size seems perfect.

I received this today and instead of what is pictured I received a green rock and a yellow rock. They were not multi color like the picture and there is only one per order, not 3 like pictured. Also it states on the front of the package that it is "the rock floats" yet on the back in small print it reads "use caution near water--this product sinks like a rock!" Also it states on amazon for romping and chomping but also in the small print it states " the Rock is NOT a chew toy. Excessive chewing may damage the product". So I am confused what is this for? Well we also took them out and played fetch. They each lasted around 3 throws before they decided to bust down one of the seams.

Got these because my dog kept chewing on rocks. My dog won't go near this toy, still chews rocks.

I have a Belgin Malinouis (prob mis spelled) basicly the most hyper dog in the worldand a super strong chewer too. He loves these things. They are perfect for fetch on land or in the water bc they float! They ounce in random directions and weigh just enough to really throw them. Dont leave them with ur dog unattened though. They can be chewed up

This is a fun twist on a ball! Less expensive than other "any which way" toys available.Not recommended for super hard chewers! But still a great toy!

Sorry. We have a Cattle Dog and she destroyed this in record time. If you have a "El Destructo" dog, you're better off with Nylabones.

Great product. Dog cannot bite into it. Floats and drops down then rises in water to make retrieval very fun for dog. A definite must buy if your dog can chew through everything. With this product my dog has met her match.
