Apply to face, neck and décolleté. Avoid eyes.4. Moisten fingertips with water and work up the peeling for 1 - 2 minutes withcircular movements.5. Leave on for a further 3 – 5 minutes, then rinse very thoroughlywith lukewarm water.Note: Do not apply to eyes or mucous membranes."Directions for use are above. To be honest I found the directions to be a bit confusing but I'm not taking stars off for my misunderstanding. Upon reading the directions the first time I assumed that I could use the product in the shower following my usual skin routine (shower based). The application was highly unsuccessful but still left my skin feeling so soft and just beautiful. After actually using this product correctly I also had great results. I actually did a test on my face and also on a small section of my check so that I could easily check the difference between the skin on the right side of my chest compared to the left. This biggest difference is how soft my skin was immediately after using this product. It honestly felt like how a piece of silicone feels. Very smooth and soft.I'm very impressed by this product but it also took me awhile to find the directions (directions are inside the box on a sheet of paper that has about 10 other languages. I don't mind the different languages, just wish that directions were also written on the bottle as well.

Did not receive a "balm," received pure oil.
This is described as a "balm" and other reviewers show what appears to be a moisturizer-like substance. After washing my face and opening the cap, I was surprised as a bunch of the oily liquid gushed all over my hand. Thinking maybe the product separated during shipping, I shook it up and tried again. No change; only oily liquid (like baby oil without the scent). Mixed with water, like the directions read, and no milky emulsion appeared. I requested a refund and will return the product.

Gentle but gives soft, smooth, healthy, glowing skin!
This comes in a nice product box. Made in Germany. Directions are inside the box on a paper with a ton of different languages. I like they make it so all different languages can read and understand the directions, but it does make it a little hard to find in them all. But, there’s no directions on the tube. I like having directions on the tube so I can easily check them if I need to. I don’t want to have to save a piece of paper and go digging for it if I have a question. But, at least they supplied directions. Some brands don’t and you either have to assume how it’s supposed to be used or go searching online and hope they put them on their product page.DIRECTIONS FOR USE:-Apply pea sized amount to palm and mix with a little water to create a milky emulsion.-On cleansed skin, apply to face, neck, and décolleté and massage for 1-2 minutes.-Leave for additional 3-5 min to take effect before rinsing thoroughly. -Avoid direct eye contact with eyes and mouth.-All skin types can use this 1-2x/week.I also didn’t like the product page didn’t provide much info on the product. I had to watch the video to really find out about it. This is a balm that is activated with water and transforms into a milk emulsion. The enzyme peeling balm increases the skins receptiveness for subsequent skin care products and immediately reveals a visibly refined and radiant complexion. It is a gentle but effective alternative to AHA fruit acid peels. It has a skin friendly pH of 5-6. Enzymes from the bacillus ferment and lipoalphahydroxy acids soften the cellular bonds to remove the superficial dead skin. The combination of these 2 actives deliver the same benefit as AHAs but more gently. They have skin renewing, exfoliating, and acne treating properties. When adding water to the product, it triggers a kerotolytic action of the enzymes, which triggers the outermost layer of the skin to loosen and shed naturally. The balm also contains sea fennel (Crithmum Maritimum Extract), which is rich in copper, magnesium, and calcium to build skin regeneration and boost the natural skin functions. It also contains sea lettuce (Ulva Lactura Extract), a macro algae rich in iron and vitamin C to strengthen skins natural defenses and offer antioxidant protection. This is really easy to use. A lot of “peeling” treatments I’ve tried have been peeling gels with physical exfoliants in them where they have like little chunks. A lot of people seem to think the chunks are the dead skin coming off, but it’s really just whatever physical exfoliant is in the product (like fruit extracts). They soften my skin, but never really seemed any more effective to me than anything else I used in my skincare routine and I hated the chunks! So, I was really excited to try this that was a gentle peeling balm that didn’t have chunks in it!It glides on the skin easily. It feels really nice on the skin. It doesn’t feel harsh at all. It is relaxing rubbing it into the skin. I also like that you just rub it in for 1-2 min and then let it sit for 3-5 min. It makes me take those 3-5 min for myself to just relax and chill out. It might not seem like much but as a busy single mom…I’ll take any 3-5 min of quiet doing nothing that I can get! 😂 It rinses off easily after I’m done and leaves my skin feeling so soft, smooth, and moisturized. The moisturized feeling is my favorite part! So many times with exfoliating products my skin will feel smooth and exfoliated after, but will feel dry or even stripped and be screaming for me to put a moisturizer on! This one I could honestly not put one on after and I feel like I’d be fine. But, I still apply one anyways. I do feel like my skin has more of a natural glow after using this.I have been using it a couple times a week like it suggested and have been loving the results. My makeup seems to look smoother, and I’m actually applying less foundation than I did before I started using this. My skin just has a nice, healthy look to it. Before it looked kind of tired and splotchy. Now it’s even and healthy. I definitely recommend!FULL INGREDIENT LISTCaprylic/capric triglyceride, Glycerin, Aqua/Water/Eau, Sucrose, Stearate, di-c12-13 alkyl malate, sucrose laurate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Bacillus Ferment, Ulva Lactuca Extract, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Tocopherol

refreshes skin
Doctor Babor has some really great products. I found this one lacking for me. It makes my skin feel super soft and supple looking. But thats about it. 2 months of use and my pores don't appear smaller and it hasn't evened out my skintone. My pores and uneven skin tone are my 2 biggest issues with my skin, so I always look for products to help in those areas, and while I like the results of this mask/peel, its not exactly doing what I need it to do. For its intended purposes, my results are lacking. But I do like the instant look and feel of soft plump skin, feels like it refreshes skin (which doesn't last)

A little better than facial cleansers I've tried
This product is the third I've tried from Doctor Babor in recent months, with the first being Cleanformance Deep Cleansing Pads, and the second being Lifting Rx Lift Serum. While I had a good experience with Cleanformance Deep Cleansing Pads, the Lifting Rx Lift Serum provided negligible personal effect, and the results of this Refine RX Enzyme Peeling Balm fell somewhere in the middle. While I can feel a difference and do sense noticeable glow after using this product, I'm not sure it has provided much more than the results I've seen from a facial cleanser. After using scrubs for many years and switching to Korean exfoliating towels last year, I tried some face washes for the first time with mixed results. It's likely that I just don't need this type of product at this point, or I've gotten used to the great results from Korean exfoliating towels. I'm providing a photo of the ingredients listed on the side of the box for those of you who care about this.

Liquid Delivered
This product is supposed to be a lotion consistency and I have gotten 2 delivered that are completely liquid. Very disappointing!
