It's a sweet little radio, and I sue it almost daily. BUT it's FM only. The instructions are in Chinese and it's not really that intuitive to figure out..

poor quality. No access to FM stations. Very disappointed.

This is a very nice, sturdy, functional radio -- once you understand the Chinese characters. It takes a while to learn how to navigate around the radio as most everything on the radio is in Chinese. Not much instructions that came with it, but it is not difficult to find your way around on it. FM reception is very good. It pulls in the stations, and you get nice, clear sound. Whether it is news, discussion, or music, the FM broadcasts are very good. On a small set, the speakers are, of course, small, but the sound is clear and clean. With a headset, it actually sounds quite good.On/Off switch is on the top, along with a USB connection and the volume button. On the side of the radio is the LED flashlight, the headphone jack, the tuning knob and the charger connection. The bottom of the radio sits a slot for a TF card to be used for mp3s. There are a bunch of buttons on the front, but most of them are made for mp3 playing. I have not used the mp3 option on this device. The flashlight button is on the front and also the toggle button that switches the device between FM/AM/SW. There is also an "M" button which according to the few directions that came with the radio is just for decoration.This is a nice enough radio. It comes with a handy carrying strap that is not shown in the Amazon photo. If you can use the miniSD card player, it is probably a very good option. In many areas (where AM reception is decent) it seems like it would work quite well. Otherwise, if you only care about FM, there are probably other less expensive options that are just as good and do not require you to know Chinese. I am happy enough with the unit as it is readily portable so I can take it to places where there is not the AM interference I have at my home.I received this radio at a substantial discount in consideration of a fair and honest review.
