Welsh Rules

I'm about half way through the 1st year of mynediad with Learn Welsh in Pembrokeshire. The class is great but I like to know the background and have a more technical reference than the course book gives. I was spending a fair while searching on the internet for info but this book has meant I have everything in one place. You do not need the accompanying exercise book as there are exercises in this one, though I did send for it, and plan to use it for revision before the exam next year. For me well worth the purchase.

Set out plain & straightforward. Reference book. The only one needed for a starting learner becoming better.

I find this a useful book for extending my knowledge of Welsh after two and half years of learning at a moderate pace. Whilst it is set out in a way which an absolute beginner could follow, I feel that is it better as a supplement to already basic knowledge, which the student is ready to develop or to review in a helpful different context. It also makes a useful reference work. It is clearly arranged under different grammatical headings, each of which offers a thorough introduction with sell set out vocabularies.

This book was a wise buy for me since I was finding the going pretty tough learning Welsh but this is well structured and easy to follow. I would caution that you do have some grounding in the language before using it.
