Oh Ya!
I love this thing! I was using a smaller less powerful juicer and decided that I needed something faster and that would reduce prep time. I was spending a lot of time cutting my fruit and veggies just so I could get it into my old juicer. To be fair, my other juicer worked fine and did what it was suppose to, it just wasn't efficient for my needs. I love Breville products and I had great expectations for this juicer. I did my research and I knew what I features I was looking for. I wanted something that had a powerful motor to grind through harder fruit and produce with out bogging the motor and I wanted a juicer that had a feed channel that would minimize my prep time. I came across a few models and brands that seemed to fit the criteria, but my love for Breville products (based on experience and not marketing) made my decision simple. After learning more about the juicers that fit my criteria I really felt that buying a juicer that was all metal was in my best interest. Aesthetically it fit my preference and taste and fit in with my current line-up of small kitchen appliances. Materially, the stainless steel seemed a more durable option than the resin plastics of other brands. Additionally, stainless steel in my opinion, is easier to sterilize and holds up well in the dishwasher and I don't have to worry about fading or cracking. Now on to the juicing. I opened the box and to my expectation the juicer was packed well. I came out of the box ready to use. I cleaned the parts that would touch my juice as recommended. I turned on the motor and was surprised at how quiet it was. My smaller juicer sounded like a chainsaw in comparison, not to mention the motor on my smaller juicer was only 125w compared to the 1000w of the 800JEXL. I expected that it would be louder just because of the motor size difference but again it was surprisingly quite. I juiced apples, carrots, celery, oranges, pears, beets, cucumber, kale, spinach and ginger to make my normal juice. It took literally 5 minutes whereas my older juicer took about a half hour. Prep of produce and fruit was easy as I did not need to cut anything. It all fit right into the large feed tunnel - one of the key reasons I bought this juicer. I noticed that I got more juice out of this juicer than my previous one. I know now that is because of the motor and juicing mesh. Because of the motor size combined with the mesh, the combination extracts more juice from the produce and fruit. This ultimately saves me money in the long run although I am not able to quantify that at this point considering I have only been using it for a couple of weeks now. All-in-all, I HIGHLY recommend this juicer! Breville is a GREAT brand and I am pleased with their quality and performance. The description of the machine in the manufacturers marketing is as promised and it is understated in my opinion. I appreciate quality and although this model may seem a bit high in price for some, I can only say you get what you pay for!

Excellent juicer.
I prefer the Vitamix, even though the Vitamix is not a juicer. This is the best juicer made for home use. Well made, and well constructed. It has two speeds. One for hard fruits and vegetables, the other for soft fruits and vegetable. The red button shuts it off. It is easy to clean. I highly recommend it. Okay, I am going to revise my review. Before you buy a product, the most important reviews to read are the ones that rate a product the lowest. I have only used my juicer a dozen times. Fruits and vegetables are expensive, so the real cost of a juicer is not the juicer but the cost of stuff you put into it. I personally had no problem using the this juicer. I thought it made juice quickly. I didn't have a problem with juicer leaking like others here have. After reading the one-star reviews, I conclude the following: Breville has poor customer service. This machine only has a one-year warranty compared to much longer warranties given by other manufacturers. Some people like the cheap $90 Jack Lalaine juicer better than than this one. Some people have a problem with the spinning, cutting disk getting dull after very short use. I bought this juicer to make a drink called "Happy's Special" sold at Julio's Juice Bar and Natural Foods Emporium. The drink is made from carrots, beets, apples, cucumbers, celery, spinach, ginger, and garlic. I would add parsley, a splash of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. I juice the beet stalks. This juicer does a good job making this drink which I really can't make in the Vitamix. I add ice to the Vitamix when I make Happy's Special. Julio's adds no ice, and serves it warm. I learned you have to add the garlic and ginger in a shoot full of fruits and vegetable or they will shoot back up the shute or shoot into the pulp container without being juiced. I find that my pulp is relatively dry. I wouldn't use this juicer for juicing soft fruits like blueberries or tomatoes. I think the Vitamix does a much better job on these. Here are some other recipes from Julio's: Valencia: Carrots, beets, and oranges Happy's Special: Carrots, beets, ginger, garlic, celery, parsley, spinach, and apples, cucumber Cucumber Summer: Cucumbers, pineapple, and celery Immune Zoom: Carrots, beets, celery, ginger, garlic, lemons, and oranges Clean Sweep: tomatoes, pepper, carrots, celery, and dash of tabasco sauce V-6: Carrots, beets, celery, spinach, tomatoes, and parsley Ruby Red Juice: Carrots, beets, and celery Green Goddess: Celery, parsley, spinach, cucumbers, cilantro, romaine lettuce, apples, and limes Fantasy: Beets, carrots, kiwi, and blueberry Happy Days: Carrots, beets, and apples. Julio's use a centrifugal juicer to juice carrots, and maybe beets. I am not sure about the beets. He pours the carrot juice (or carrot-beet mixture) into a Vitamix. Then adds the rest of the fruits and vegetables. Whole oranges, apple quarters, pineapples, and blueberries should be "juiced" in the Vitamix. You can even juice a certain amount of carrot in a Vitamix. It is just that carrots (and most likely beets) have too great a ratio of fiber to juice. I would only juice the carrots and beets. You probably lose too much expensive fruit and vegatable in the Breville. I would "juice" the apples, pineapple, ginger, garlic, spinach, and cucumbers in the Vitamix. I think you can juice celery in either machine. I would chop the celery up into one-inch lengths before I added it to the Vitamix because it is stringy. I feed food into the Breville as slowly as I possibly can. The faster you feed food into a juicer, the less efficient it becomes. Just because you can juice a dozen carrots and a apple in a few seconds does not mean you have to do so. I wrap one of my hands around the Breville plunger to prevent my other hand from feeding food too quckly. I literially feed in food as slow as I possibly can, allow the blade of the juicer to do all the work. Remember slower feed means more juice, and less waste. Google Julio's Natural Food Emporium to get a list of their great smoothies. I especially recommend their: Tantra, Planet Energy, and Wai-kee-kee

Incredible machine, great results!
I have not owned any other juice machine but after doing my "homework", I was hoping I made the right choice. All I can say is this is becoming more and more fun with less time to clean up. All parts do clean very easily, and actually that's the easiest part. For me my preparation of all the fruits and vegetables is mildly time consuming, even though I know you can throw things in there whole. Somehow the thought of little stems, seeds and tiny pits going in there don't thrill me but I'm starting to overlook those things now. I have made some incredible pitchers of juice, at times using a large combo of fruits and at other times, using less combos of fruits. I have learned that when I toss in small things like blueberries, blackberries, small carrots, etc., I must quickly cover the top with my hand before they fly out of the chute all over the place. Yes, like I said, it's a learning experience. Large chunks of fruits and carrots (only vegetable I can tolerate juiced thus far) make an awesome drink and my kids love it too. I have been experimenting with the choice of items in chute and the speed at which things are juiced at. There are 2 speeds: higher and lower. I have made many little mistakes along the way, from causing a huge mess with juice overflowing out of the container and down the cabinets, to stuff flying out of the top and staining my wood cabinets. I have gotten much better at this. The other thing is this can become a very costly addiction.....I spend a fortune on organic fruits and vegetables and in a flash, $50-$75 worth of fruit is in one small to medium pitcher! The amount of pulp that goes in the garbage is scary looking. Cleanup takes about 10 minutes total. Be sure to put a small garbage bag or a plastic bag in the container that catches the pulp or it will be a messier cleanup for sure. The only thing I cannot acquire a taste for is the green juice. As much as I eat only organically grown fruits and vegetables, I just cannot get green juice down my throat. I know it's something that has to grow on you but I think I'd rather eat raw veggies anytime than drink them. I keep saying I'll try it again but I get weak thinking about swallowing that stuff! Ugh....no one can honestly say it tastes really good unless they have no taste buds. The fruit drinks on the other hand are absolutely fantastic. I guess it's all personal taste and to each his own likes and dislikes. I am not disappointed with this machine at all. It is not cheap though but I hope it lasts a very long time. It is beautifully constructed but it does take up alot of counter space and it is tall than the bottom of my cabinet area so I have to put it alongside the cabinets, next to my sink area, but that's okay. It looks really attractive and sits near my other neat machines, as I do have alot of counter space. If you are patient and willing to do a little cutting and cleaning up, you will not be disappointed. My total time preparing, juicing and cleaning up my mess is 30 minutes from start to finish and the container lasts me 2 days, if I'm lucky and I can hide it from my family!

Amazing Machine – Powerful, Easy to Clean, Worth Every Dollar
I’ve been using the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL and I’m honestly blown away. I’ve already made: potato starch apple juice orange juice grapefruit juice grape juice Everything comes out smooth, fast, and super easy. The machine is very powerful — it handles everything without struggling, even harder items. The wide chute saves a ton of prep time, and cleanup is surprisingly simple (which is huge for a juicer). Many parts are even dishwasher-safe . What I love most: ✔ Extremely powerful motor ✔ Very fast juicing ✔ Easy to clean ✔ Handles fruits AND harder produce easily ✔ Feels like a high-end, durable machine Yes, it’s not cheap — but it is 100% worth the money. WOW. Highly recommend.

Pro/Con from a long time Juicer ACME 6001 vs. Breville ELITE
I have been juicing for 15-20 years. I did take a break for a few years before buying this juicer. I used an ACME 6001 for all the other years. The ACME works on a different principle which draws more juice out of the product than the Breville. However the very way the ACME draws the juice through makes it difficult to clean and also makes you need to stay with machine while running so it does not dance across the counter. The Breville can sit there all alone, sounds like a small jet but c'mon......get over the noise, and it is quieter than a blender. I had two big concerns when buying the Breville, the first was it was made in CHINA....I still get sick when I think about that as I look at our soaring unemployment.....and yes, USA could make it as good if not better for that kind of price, lets not kid ourselves Breville. The second was a fact that leafy type things such as KALE (which is your BEST item to put in any juice for highest benefit) would not juice well. This is a FACT however; I think I have a workaround. After trying several methods with the Kale, I decided to soak in water and then immediately juice it. This method will add some water to the juice for sure but clearly from the MUCH stronger Kale taste I would estimate I get 5-6 times more actual Kale juice in the mix. This works with the lettuce, the parsley and so on. As far as some of the other bad info in the reviews, this item is NOT hard to clean, if you think it is then you have never juiced before. This item does NOT stain easily, if you wash it right after juicing then it will stay clean. If you leave it on the counter dirty like someone from "Hoarders" then yup....it will stain. It does NOT leak at seams at all like some reviews have said unless you put the pulp bucket on crooked. I use cheap food storage bags to line the bucket, I wash the device right after use and I think it works very well. The ONLY way stuff has jumped out of the chute has been if I throw it down the chute, IE: a handful of grapes tossed in the chute will transform your juicer into a paintball machine gun.....easy to fix, just drop them in with your hand over the chute.....no big deal as all. One thing I DO NOT like is the jug that comes with the device to receive the juice, it works flawlessly, don't get me wrong but the design of the machine forces you to use only this jug. It has a 'cutout" on the bottom so it gets closer to the machine than you could get with a regular glass or measuring cup so if you break this one.....you will be calling Breville to order a new one. Here are my juice suggestions for you: 1) Don't forget to get more fiber in your diet, Juicing will take it away 100%. Either take the pulp and do something with it in your meals or use a fiber supplement. 2) Always use organics veggies, I shop at Whole Foods and can find deals on organics many times, like 1/2 price kale. I just vary my drinks that week to adjust for the sale items. 3) Always drink immediately, juice will oxidize after juicing and the living enzymes is the KEY 4) Always wash the machine thoroughly after use, like I said, my plastic parts have ZERO staining and I have run about 100# of carrots through already. 5) I use a thermal mug, one of those ones you freeze in the freezer. I pour from the Breville Jug into the frosty mug and let sit for 2-3 minutes; it does help a bit if you are not into the taste. 6) If you are new to this, look out for strong items such as cucumber. Your body needs to ease into this a bit but I have a sensitive system and I have NEVER had an "uncontrollable" issue that I needed to deal with 7) If you are new, have a few crackers or something when you drink, it tends to take the edge off a bit. Favorite drink~1# carrots, Handful wet Kale, apple (I do this one daily and vary the final ingredients: Squash, grapes, cucumber, celery, pepper, broccoli, lettuce, garlic) Enjoy!!!

A juicer for your average schlub
I am not a vegetarian. I am not a health nut. I won't follow a strict diet and I am lazy. The only way a juicer was going to become a staple in my life was by working around me. Breville gets a high five for managing to accomplish that. You can read other reviews that go through the great construction and design, they are spot on. The motor for the juicer is top rate; they did not mess around with it. It reminds me of Russell Crowe's character Maximus in Gladiator. Whatever I throw at it, the motor seems almost insulted that was all there was. I imagine it yelling "Are you not entertained?!" as it churns out carrot and apple juice. Indeed Mr. 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite, I am entertained. Seriously folks if you're going to spend the money on a Breville juicer, spend the extra hundred bucks and buy the elite. You are paying a premium for the die-cast steel housing, but it's worth it. In the world of juicing there are usually 4 categories people look at: Fast Juicing Easy to Clean Maximum Extraction Low Oxidation Fast Juicing: This juicer reigns supreme. Once everything is washed and cut up, this thing tears apart the produce in seconds. Easy to Clean: Relatively speaking this is pretty easy to disassemble and clean. If you want to throw everything in the dishwasher you should be able to do a quick rinse off and a once over scrub on the mesh basket in under 3 minutes. If you wash it by hand it can take 8-10 minutes to do a thorough job. Maximum Extraction: This juicer has pretty good extraction, not amazing. This is a little bit of a trade off; you get the speed but not the nuance that would experience from a press. You also need to be aware that the blades will dull and require replacing or you will suffer from inferior extraction, more below. Low Oxidation: This juicer does oxidate the liquid a little bit; again this is the tradeoff for speed. Whereas a juice press you could store in mason jars for a few days, I would recommend you consume this juice in the first 4-6 hours, it simply tastes the best in that window. For me personally, speed and ease of clean were the most important. I didn't mind juicing an extra carrot or apple because it meant I didn't have to deal with a $$Norwalk$$ type press. The short life window didn't bother me either. I like to juice up about 32oz worth in the morning, pour it into a Nalgene bottle, take it to work and drink it over ice. After about a week you'll notice your appetite has been reset to where you don't think about food as much. Be prepared to get some strange looks from your coworkers as they quizzically ask what the dark green or bright pink or dark red liquid is in your cup. The only con about this juicer and I'm not really sure this is something that can be fixed so I might be a little unfair here ... but I wish they would redesign the shredder and the blade. As it stands when these parts will inevitably become dull. You must spend $32 and buy the whole mesh basket, blade assembly as 1 piece. After having disassembled one I understand why. My hope is that a redesign will make it easier just to replace the shredder disk and center blades while allowing you to keep the basket thus reducing cost.

Great juicer
Great Juicer. I had a Jack Lalanne power juicer that was around 20 years old. It still worked but was never near as efficient as this Breville juicer. I get a good 30% more juice from this compared to the power juicer. That adds up in savings quickly. It’s also just easier to use and I can make juice drinks in half the time. Happy with my purchase.

Machine from hell.
Machine from hell. I mean that in a good way. Makes short work of anything I've thrown in. Easy to clean. This is a quality-built stainless steel workhorse.

Great Juicer!
This is a powerful juicer that is a perfect fit for my needs. It does a great job on the fruits/vegetables I'm primarily interested in juicing ( carrots, apples, pears, pineapples, etc. ) and the ones it doesn't do well on are ones I'd most likely be throwing in a blender, not a juicer. For example, there's no way I'd ever want a full glass of things like parsley or spinach juice, but I might want to add those things to other juices in which case I'd throw them whole into my vitamix along with the juice produced by the Breville. I've read reviews complaining about very wet pulp and I suspect that's due to pushing product through too quickly. This monster can devour a whole apple in under a second but to get the most juice you'll want to push it through at a slow steady pace ( eg maybe in 10 seconds instead of 1). I measured a yield of 70% juice by weight for carrots and 77% juice by weight for Fuji apples. That's good enough for me especially when it juices that quickly. It's also easy to clean. The only cons are some things produce a good amount of foam but the pitcher does a good job of filtering out the foam. I wouldn't pay their current asking price ( about $600 CDN ) since their are better juicers at that price point even by Breville but it's often available as a Warehouse deal in the $150-$200 range at which point it's a great deal.

producto de excelencia

Love this juicer.
I absolutely love this juicer. I have had it a couple of weeks now and it works great. It is very easy to assemble/disassemble and it is very easy to clean. They provide a little brush to clean out the fine mesh filter and this works great and takes very little time. It says you can put it in the dishwasher, but I never would. It cleans so quick under tap water that I personally see no need to risk clouding the plastic. The juicer is very well made and sturdy. The parts are stainless steel. I think this is well worth the upgrade over the less expensive model that is made with plastic parts. The juice made from this is great. It handles hard and medium items really well. Softer items like spinach are a bit of a challenge. You need to roll up leaves tight and sandwich them between harder items to get the best result. The juice tastes fantastic. It doesn't heat the juice up so you get all of the nutritional benefit of cold extraction. It does take up a fair bit of counter space and you need lots of overhead clearance to move the food plunger in and out of the chute. But, the juicer is functionally attractive and is not an eyesore. I have had no problem with leaks or clogs. I am glad I chose this model.

Excelente. Mucho más fácil que otros.
Es muy fácil de limpiar y de usar. Este es el tercer exprimidor que tengo y rebasa por mucho los otros dos. Hago jugo de apio todos los días para dos o 3 personas y me facilita el trabajo.
