7 Continents: Europe, Grade 4 - 6 Teacher Resource (The Seven Continents)

Good fit for us
My daughter likes the book, it is written clearly and easy to understand, and she asks to do more. I think the information is relevant and age appropriate (good for 11 or younger) and will probably order another one in the seven continents series.

Solid, straight-forward geography study suitable for homeschoolers and others
This is a surprisingly thoughtful introduction to European geography and culture. There are five sections: Europe in the World (which covers essential geography concepts like latitude and longitude as well as the hemispheres), Political Divisions, Physical Features, Valuable Resources, and Culture. We are working through each section a week at a time as a homeschool unit study, but it's suitable for classrooms, co-ops, and afterschoolers. For a family planning a trip to Europe, it would make a nice home study before departure. It's targeted at grades 4-6. I think verbally and spatially gifted kids as young as second grade might enjoy it, but the material is presented in such a direct, non-fussy manner that makes it suitable up through middle school, too.
