Oh my gosh, this is PERFECT for cats! We have this set up in our dining room (took the table out) and it is our cat's all-time favorite thing to do.

How big are the pieces when set up? And how many balls do you need?

Not too big, you can choose to not build all the pieces if space is limited , I used 150 balls and could put much more in still

Is there a version of just the tunnel and ball pit, without the tent included?

I could not find a version without the tent.
