Professor Greg WhyteBump It Up: The Dynamic, Flexible Exercise and Healthy Eating

Excellent new book on pregnancy and exercise.
Professor Greg Whyte has produced yet another excellent and informative book, this time predominantly aimed at women, the appropriate focus since pregnancy affects them most, and their partners. The book, however, is also an excellent 'one- stop shop', an almanac even, that can serve as a resource for clinical and science professionals who work with special populations.Physical activity and exercise are areas that everyone seems to think they know something about. True experts, who are also gifted in bringing engaging and accessible advice to the majority, who are less well informed, are rare. Professor Whyte is one of these gifted individuals (he was named amongst the top ten science educators in the UK by the Science Council) and this new book is further confirmation of that status. I am excited to recommend this book to professionals and expectant parents alike and I look forward to future publications from this author as a source of dependable, accessible, interesting and fun information.

Excellent, highly recommended.
This book is great, it leads a common sense approach to exercise during and directly after pregnancy. It gives basic facts on what's going on with your body which helps you understand what you can still do during this period and the importance of keeping in shape. The exercises listed are in diagram and written form and very easy to follow, it also makes it very clear that there are no hard and fast rules other than making sure you listen to your body.

The book is ok, but not for advanced fitness people
It is ok if you start your fitness in pregnancy. If you are athlete then this book has very limited value added and you need to search for alternatives

Every pregnant woman should read this book!
I love to exercise but it has never been clear to me what I can/can’t do in pregnancy. This book takes you through every trimester and clearly explains what you can do to stay fit and ensure a healthy mum and baby! Lots of clear diagrams, explations and great recipes! Thanks Prof. Greg Whyte for an essential read!
