As stated in the headline of this review, this paper is excellent all-around paper. The only reason I would hesitate on recommending it to a beginner is that choyogami is relatively expensive. If someone is just learning a form, cheaper paper will do--And that's still my own personal strategy when learning new forms. When someone has reached the level where they are ready to show their forms off, then I honestly can't think of any paper I would recommend more.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pieces of paper. They are very vivid and extremely beautiful designs. The instructions for one foldable item are too small and crowded and in a foreign language to be usable but I can find many projects on line to follow. I would definitely order these again!!

Pros: nice patterns, has solid color on the other side that matches the patterns, and has multiple sheets of each pattern.Cons: is so thick it's hard to foldI bought this because of the color/pattern on each side, sadly it's too thick to fold nicely. It's rigid and doesn't fold well. I made a hexagon box and for that you have 2 pieces that overlap on the edges to lock together, this was difficult because of the thickness and took a bit on man handling to work right. I'll use what I bought, but I won't buy this again.

I bought these when in a skilled nursing facility recoving from a broken ankle. I made many origami items to give to the staff, which thrilled them. Made a tedious recovery more enjoyable.

Wonderful paper with a nice range of designs ranging from abstract to geometric to quilt-like floral. I'm just a newbie to origami, but this is the best quality paper I've used so far. There's a slight sheen to it which is beautiful. It's also been the most perfectly square paper I've used yet. Detailed item description on Amazon tells exactly what is in the package, too, unlike other origami sellers. I love that!

It’s fine. A little thick but very foldable. Cute designs.

The patterns are amazing they look great it is a nice touch to have the backs not be a white color and really help it stand out. The children that I tutor love them when I bring and make some for them.
