This stuff was a super great fix for some ugggly countertops in a rental. Way more durable and attractive than you'd think! And seriously I get a lot of compliments on my kitchen - people really can't tell. Have had on for 2.5 years, and I put another layer of the same thing over the first layer after about 2 years (had a roommate who would go crazy with the bleach, OCD). This won't last forever, and it won't stand up to really hard wear and tear, but for a short-term fix on an average-use kitchen it's been great. Not super easy to install, but easy enough. Matching up the grain as best you can will be worth the trouble, as will patience with the application process. A credit card was the best thing to smooth it out. There were a couple of air bubbles that I pricked with a pin. Some of the other small ones seemed to disappear after a while. Matched this with a stick on tile backsplash and boom - kitchen renovation!
