You get used to it
We've been using homemade tooth powder for years and thought we'd try this out. The taste was foreign but we got used to it after a few days. I find the fragments of siwak get stuck in between my teeth and I'm forced to use floss to get it out. Haven't noticed it whitening the teeth at all. With regards to overall teeth cleanliness, my husband thinks it cleans just as well as our normal homemade tooth powder whereas I think it is a little lacking in comparison. In particular, in order for my teeth to feel clean, I need to brush twice per day with the siwak and cannot get away with brushing only once, otherwise, the teeth feel furry. I have also found that the essential oils that I add to the toothpowder (peppermint) are drowned out by the siwak so that I can barely smell or taste it. If you are used to toothpaste this could take some getting used to.

Fantastic for teeth!
This is my first time trying Miswak powder, after hearing about miswak sticks through the Ask The Dentist podcast The taste is not very nice, but it is mild enough and so I am getting used to it. Also smells fairly strong, again not particularly pleasant but it isn't bad enough I've stopped using it. I am using it for it's antibacterial properties, but was pleasantly surprised to see immediate whitening effects too (not that my teeth were particularly discoloured to begin with) I personally mix this together with calcium carbonate powder and micronized zeolite powder. Whilst I find using a powder mix as toothpaste more inconvenient that traditional tubes of toothpaste, it's worth it to me for the more natural ingredients - staying away from toxic ingredients and hopefully not killing the beneficial bacteria in my mouth along with the bad I have always struggled with bacteria in my mouth, even when using traditional toothpaste. However this seems to have resolved the problems almost immediately, which is great! I would highly recommend. Down sides: I find using powders inconvenient/messy. Using traditional Miswak sticks on teeth might be preferrable to some people. The colour of this Miswak powder is an off white/light clay colour. Can be off putting for people wanting something with the traditional white colour in their home made tooth cleaners. Inside the main resealable bag is a clear plastic bag, which actually contains the Miswak powder. I have personally found this to be more inconvenient and messy than I believe it would be if the powder was in the main bag. It's also contributing to plastic waste. However - perhaps it is necessary to retain the freshness of the powder - I'm not sure.

I am happy with this product
I mix a bit with my normal toothpaste, or, for change, I do my own "toothpaste" by mixing this powder with coconut oil. It does clean your teeth properly, you feel like your mouth is properly washed and teeth are clean. I am very happy with the product! I can't say anything about its whitening properties, because I just started to use it. Good value for money. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but the package is huge, so it will last you long. I can recommend and I will definitely buy it again.

I like the sticks also but they just don't reach behind my back molars. Powder is great for putting on the tooth brush so I can reach behind the back molars. I still use the sticks also, more for travelling. Nice flavour also.

Doesn't have the smell of Meswak. Doubtful about purity of the product.

To my fellow adventurers in oral hygiene, let me tell you about my latest experiment: Miswak (Siwak) Powder by mi Nature. For years, my dental routine involved tubes of brightly colored paste, foaming vigorously and promising minty freshness. It was... fine. Predictable. Then I saw this powder and thought, "Powder? For brushing? Is this a historical reenactment? Am I about to discover ancient dental secrets?" Curiosity (and a desire for slightly whiter teeth) won. When this little bag of finely ground Miswak arrived, it looked exactly like... well, brown powder. It didn't foam, it didn't sparkle, and it certainly didn't scream "Minty Fresh!" My regular toothpaste tube eyed it suspiciously from the counter, probably wondering if its reign was over. Using it for the first time felt a bit like stepping back in time. You wet your toothbrush, dip it in the powder, and brush. The texture is... different. It's not gritty, but it's definitely not paste. There's a subtle, earthy, slightly spicy flavor that is surprisingly pleasant. It's not an explosion of artificial mint; it's more like a gentle whisper of nature in your mouth. My taste buds were initially confused, then intrigued. BUT. After brushing, my teeth felt incredibly clean. Like, really clean. That smooth, polished feeling you usually only get after a dentist visit. And the freshness? It's a clean, natural kind of fresh, not the overpowering "I just gargled with mouthwash" kind. My breath felt genuinely clean, not just masked by mint. I've been using it for a while now, and I've noticed a subtle but definite improvement in the whiteness of my teeth. It's not a dramatic, blinding white, but a natural, healthy-looking brightness. My gums also seem happier, less prone to complaining. If you're looking to shake up your oral hygiene routine, appreciate natural ingredients, and are open to a brushing experience that's a little unconventional but surprisingly effective, give this Miswak powder a try. It's a unique product that delivers on its promises. My teeth feel fantastic, my mouth feels naturally fresh, and I'm thoroughly impressed with this ancient-meets-modern dental solution.
