Great read! Very inspirational.perfect for family members with cancer.

Very expressively written. Not to be morbid, but could have used some entries ( But appreciated his spouse's last chapter) nearer his demise. Missed his voice at the end. Sounds like he may have sunk too quickly. He said "uncle" to his pain, perhaps,Some of his memories of med school and training were very well expressed and, actually sorta painful. They helped me remember some of my own experiences; sad failures that still have the power to hurt. Then, flashes of 'Eureka!' , that kept me going.

This physician has captured with profound depth th bittersweet emotions of Medicine. I am in awe! Oh what honor it must have been to have met him or even know him. There is so much in there to learn. The book deserves probably 5 reads to capture the essence. Wow!A must read not only for the Healthcare workers but the general public, a light into the life of a doctor!

This was a fascinating read, I could not recommend this enough to everyone. The existential questions posed and conversation with Dr. Kalanithi are all encapsulating. 10/10

A very honest read with lessons for how one might respond to the curves that life throws to us all. I went through a similar calamity with my wife and, although I read the book after-the-fact, I could relate to how their lives were turned upside down. The philosophy of the book and the support of those surrounding the doctor who was dying, offered helpful perspectives.
