Plier & Knife Sheath Combo

I ordered two of these as gifts over a year ago, hoping they would come close to the quality of a leather "offshore angler" one I bought over 12 years ago and is no longer made.The knife is very sharp, and Manley pliers are the ticket with their side cutters. Will cut mono, fluoro and even powerpro down to 10lb test with no issues. The side cutters allow you to trim knots close and see what you're doing unlike cutters that are inside the jaws of the pliers. I've used Manleys for going on 20 years now, and at the price they sell them for once they do wear out you can replace them without breaking the bank. They are better made pliers than others costing 7-10X as much. An occasional freshwater rinse and a spray with corrosion block and they're good for another season.So far the leather sheaths have held up almost too well as they still have a very tight grip on the pliers. They will loosen up and get better with age as all leather does.I expect these sheaths to last equally as well as my old offshore angler version, in other words if you take care of them you can probably hand them down to your kids.
